View Full Version : 100 Bullets (ex-Acclaim) -- in existence?

I went browsing through some of the pirate game shops in the area (as if it's easy to find any other kind) and came across a copy of "100 Bullets" for the PS2. I was under the impression that the game was only like 30% complete when Acclaim died -- did somebody pick up the rights to it and continue work?

I did pick it up for curiosity value -- the cover even says "This title has not yet been concept approved by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.". (I'll try to take some pix and post 'em) I have yet to pop it in my system to see if it's even playable at all (which I should do tonight or tomorrow)...

So, is this something that's out there, or is it something that I should share, or is it something that is still being developed?

I remember seeing some videos for it. I don't think anyone ever picked it up, nobody picked up The Red Star either :(

^^ yes it was, at least in the PAL format, as I have the game
sitting on my shelf in front of me.

10,000 Bullets is a game by Taito developed in Japan which is also a Max Payne rip-off, although you play as four different characters I believe. 100 Bullets was a Max Payne clone set in New York with a little stranger story line, but it was developed by Acclaim in the US. Two different games, with only 10,000 Bullets getting a PAL release.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but it seems 100 Bullets the game is "back on track". Saw it on ign:

It's based on the Vertigo comic, and there is currently a new game in development with that license.

Let us know how it plays. I'm really interested, as I love the series.
