Atari St/police quest questions

Hello I have a few questions about the Atari St/Police quest

1.Can I use an every day floppy disk for saves?

2.In police quest 2 for some reason when I type in the copy protection question (the faces) I always get it wrong even though it obviously right; do I have to type in capitals or what?

3.Also in police quest 2 when I go out in the car with my partner I always get sent back by the cop, how do I avoid this

Doesn't #3 have something to do with doing a vehicle check of your car (walking all the way around it and looking at it first) before driving? It's been a long time but that seems familiar.
