I didn't find topic like this so I made it...
Like the topic says: Name your rarest system and game.
And please post pics, I'll take picture when I get my camera back.
Soo,..
I think that my rarest system is Famicom Disk System even I don't have wires or box.. But it is still my treasure ^.^
Maybe my rarest game is Quartet for SMS | Scarcity 5 by DP Online Rarity Guide.
There you go, Post pics you guys.. ^.^

Well, I don’t have many “rare” things in my collection. I’d have to say my consolized Neo Geo MVS or Region modded Duo R. Both are not common items. As for my games, again, I have some really nice stuff but nothing really rare. I’d have to say my complete Super Dodge Ball MVS kit. Again, not super rare but there aren’t many around.

I own this game - Vattle Giuce, and its fantastic, one of the best original gameboy games as far as i am concerned.
I assume its really rare, because its never on ebay, and i cant find any review, or any information on it at all on the internet. Anyone else have this game???

First off, welcome to the forum. Second, I found it in the online rarity guide but there is no info or rarity number for it. I did a Google search for it and came up with some sites though. You might want to start there.

smokehouse, I just love your Duo-R.. ^.^
Wellcome to the board playgeneration.
And I think that all Japanese games that aren't shown on eBay is "rare/bootleg",..
Even Vattle Giuce,..
By the way, What kind of game is it? Flying simulation?

yeah theres loads of sites with the rom image, and games database sites that just have the name in their lists. But as its such a really good unique game, trust me give the rom a go, i would have thought it would be well known game, i guess its not because its so rare.

its a shoot-em-up game, definitly not a bootleg or anything, i own the proper release of it. I wrote a little review of it, which i have just chucked on my webspace http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.james21/playgen/gameboy/vattlegiuce/vattlegiuce.html

Overall, I'd say the Adventurevision and its games ;)
As for what I own, well I've got a few one or two-of-a-kinds in my collection, but then there's also this...

My rarest game, either a Sealed copy of Tank Brigade for the Atari 2600 (The game itself is an R7) Or a used, complete copy of Poy Poy for the playstation.
My rarest System, a NES Top Loader, it isn't in good condition, but it's my rarest system..
I have pictures in my beyond gallery, but since the Room Of Doom section is down right now, there isn't a way to see them..

I don't have any rare systems. Just standard NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Genesis, GameGear, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, PSP, DS.
I used to have a Lynx, but I lost it in a move. It wasn't in great working condition anyway.
My rarest game is Chavez II for the SNES (R8).
Jumpman Jr.

I've got a few R-9's (as indicated by the DP guide):
Star Fox Super Weekend Cartridge (SNES)
Donkey Kong Country Competition Edition (SNES)
Stadium Events (NES)
Spiker! Super Pro Volleyball (INTV)
You want pics?
Here's one of Stadium Events, Star Fox Super Weekend and the Donkey Kong Competition Cart (barely visible... on the far left). Along with a not-so-rare cart in the mix.
How'd that get in there?

Going by the DP online list, the most uncommon stuff I have (all are complete and in near new condition):
Guilty Gear X Limited Edition (DC)
No Escape (SNES)
Soldiers of Fortune (SNES)
Street Fighter Collection 2 (PSX)
War 3010: The Revolution (SNES)
X-COM: UFO Defense (PSX)
It's nothing compared to what a lot of the people on here have but each one was either a game I got when it was new or one I found luckily for next to nothing just walking into various stores so I'm pretty happy with them.

According to the DP rarity guide, here are my results;
Rarest Game: Tail of the Sun (PS1). Personally, I think this game's rarity is a little over-exaggerated. I think my rarest game is Tengen Tetris for the NES, but that's just me.
Rarest System: Atari 26000 six-switch -_- yeah, I know it's kinda pathetic, but, seriously; how rare can a game console acctually be? anyone? hmm?

My rarest games are the gold label copies of KC Munchkin, UFO, and Freedom Fighters for the O2. Had them in my collection since I was 6. And I'll never part with them :D
My dad had a friend who worked for Magnavox back in the late 70's/early 80's. They weren't proto copies, they were Magnavox store copies. We got cheap games from him, 95% of the time.

Rarest games:
Hellfire (Genesis, R5)
M.U.S.H.A (Genesis, R5)
Raystorm (PSX, R7 :eek 2:)
Why is Raystorm a R7? I always figured the game was common to buy, but looking at ebay, I guess I was wrong. x_x
Raycrisis is harder to find than Raystorm, and Raycrisis is a R3. The Rarity Guide is sometimes full of it.

Rarest system? According to the DP guide, my SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color (R6). Although I have some doubts over this considering new ones can still be bought from Play-Asia.com relatively cheaply. I consider my Amiga CD32 and Atari 7800 be more rare.
Rarest game? According to the DP guide, it's a tie between Guilty Gear (PSX) and RayStorm (PSX) - both R7's.
I also have a promo-copy of RayStorm as well, which is undoubtedly rarer than the official release I also have.

Hmm, rarest system -- for something that's in the DB, i'd have to say the PC Boy (http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=2319), which I got recently for around $20 -- and I have no idea why a pirate PC Engine system is valued so high, but there you are.
Games, don't have anything super duper rare, but I got a slew of R7s....

They're all in the most recent update (submitted last December) which is still waiting to go online.
R10: Tetris MD
Yeah, but that's the pirate isn't it? Which certainly isn't R10 (I've got one too).

Cheers,

All Tetris on MD are pirate,so why bother?
And then,ho much is Nagoya Home Banking or Mega Anser? R10?
Tsushin Booster for PC Engine should be R10 as well..
Too,putting R9 Final Soldier or Bomberman 93 Special verson, why not mention other R9 like Soldier Blade Special Version,Gunhed Special Version,PC Kid 3 Special Version or Bomberman Users Battle?
or R10 Power League Gold Hucard? Then i'll get more R10 :)

Sure, the "official" version of Tetris was never actually released, but that doesn't make it a pirate. They were developed, produced & manufactured by Sega.
I believe Nagoya & Mega Anser are both rated R9 - under DP guidelines, the only things that should be rated R10 are games that are "one-of-a-kind, or certainly no more than a dozen". This hasn't always been applied across the board (eg there are 100+ copies of the NWC grey), but I've stuck to it when it comes to rating MD games.
I have nothing to do with the PC Engine section, so can't comment on those.
Neo AES (US)
Last Blade 2 (Jap) So it pry doesn't count
I have a bunch of R7s too many to list but no r8s.
How do you know for SURE those copies are manufactured by Sega?

Kishin Doji Zenki: Vajura Fight PC-FX
Tokimeki Card Paradise PC-FX
Bomberman 93 Special Edition PC Engine

Final Soldier Special Version PC Engine
Soldier Blade Special Edition PC Engine
These shouldnt' be R9's. The PC-FX games come around several times a year in Akihabara. Any of the special edition Hucards as well are also not that hard to attain. Always on YJ, and several shops in Akihabara have them. Den Den no Den isn't even close.
I agree, except for Power League Gold Hucard.
This one should be R10,since Tetris MD is
and Time Gal Laseractive deserve R9 though

I don't know about my rarest game, like a lot of people here I just have some random 7s and 8s (on Coleco, Dreamcast and Neo Pocket mostly) with nothing really standing out.
Rarest system, though:

I have to say, the way it looks like that chainsaw is tearing apart the slime is hilarious!
By the way, the Neo Geo Pocket Color is an R6 only if it is complete with the US box and paperwork. While I doubt that they are truly R6 in that state, they are a little rarer. I have the Sonic bundle, which is listed as an R8.

I see a N64 with a N64DD, and that special device that makes ROM imagaes (when finish the ROM image goes in the ZIP disc).
What's that 64 CD-ROM at the bottom (at top of the device it looks like AV ports)?

Z64, it's called.
What's that 64 CD-ROM at the bottom (at top of the device it looks like AV ports)?
It's a CD64, which is another backup device more ore less similar to the Z64, but it uses CD instead of Zip disks. The AV ports are actually on the N64 capture cartridge which is plugged into the CD64's cartridge slot (which is meant to be used for some sort of special doohickey that I never needed to use, so I just put the capture cartridge there for the picture to maximize the amount of stuff plugged together).
And yeah, I made up all the rarity values I posted. The actual rarity per the DP online guide is in reality (R0) + R1 + R0 + (R0) + (R0) for a total of...R1. Aww...

Probably my Tomy Tutor 16 Bit Graphical Computer, R7 for the console itself. It was the only version of the Tomy Pyuuta released in the US, I believe it had a short run in the UK as the Grandstand Tutor but was identical to the US version.
Anyway, anything Tutor related is crazy hard to come by, so the three carts I have (Loco-Motion, Jungler, Traffic Jam) would probably be my rarest games.
Have a US/JPN modded JVC X'Eye as well but I know a lot more people that have X'Eyes than I do that own Tutors. Still only 10,000 or so X'Eye systems made, far fewer than the other "rare" production consoles that had numbers in the 100,000+ range. :)

@Sweater Fish: That is one of the funniest pictures i've ever seen. I'm just a bit curious what would actually start up if you were to turn it on like that.
Well, the CD64 isn't actually even connected to the rest of it since it's supposed to connect through the N64's expansion port and the 64DD doesn't pass that through or anything. The Z64+N64+64DD combo all works together great, though. As for the second picture, I actually don't think I ever even tried to see if it worked with the Tristar64 plugged in; I think it would indeed work, though it's a pretty wobbly connection between the Tristar and the Z64.
I just realized that instead of a Famicom cart I should have plugged an NES cart into the Tristar64 through 72-to-60 pin adapter cartridge for the picture. It's too bad I don't have a Famicom disk system as trying to connect that to this through the Tristar would truly be the ultimate.

What exactly constitutes a rare system? I have a Neo Geo AES, and a Turbo Duo. Also a Game.com and a Gameking. All of that's complete, of course.
As for games, according to the DP guide my most rare game is Bounty Bob Strikes Back for the Atari 400/800/XE. It's an 8. I also have a handful of 7's and 6's for various other systems.
I guess my only rare game is the Propeller Arena GD plus System Disc 2... the others I've spread around the world 8-)

Rarest system? Probably my NUON (N2000). I have two N501's as well. No Toshiba or RCA units though. Although it could also be my Vectrex. I don't know which system would be rarer.
As for rarest games, I'll go by system as I honestly wouldn't know which game would be the rarest of them all.

As for games... not sure, I won a few of the standard 'Rare' games for the Saturn, but I guess the rarest would be my CIB mint copy of the Shining Force III Premium Disc. I loves it! :D

I already posted this pic in another thread, but my Super Famicom Jr. is my rarest console.

As for games, probably the DS Game & Watch Collection; I'm not sure how many were actually made, but it was a Japanese Nintendo Power exclusive with a fairly high point cost...

I have no rare systems.
Brigandine Grand Edition is the most rare game in my collection. It's also not in the DP rarity guide but is as rare or more rare than Rondo of Blood for PCE(way easier to find RoB in my opinion.)

Hmmm rarest system that I have (right now) would probably be the Saturn. It's not really that rare, but I don't see to many round these parts.
Rarest game? Hmmm probably Twilight Princess for the Game Cube or Shining the Holy Ark for Saturn none of them showed up in my searches. All my GameCube games are rarity 0 though. That has to mean they are like mega ultra super special awesome rare or something.

My rarest system on the list is a loose
Emerson Arcadia 2001 which is a scarcity of 7.
I have the Not for Resale Atari Video Computer System 4 switch woody display unit with the lighter yellow trim which is probably quite rare but it doesn't have its own entry. Cool thing is I got that one really cheap off ebay in an auction that used a stock photo of the normal 2600.
I have the GCE model of Vectrex not the less common Milton Bradley one so it didn't count. I also only have US systems so the foreign rarities don't apply. i.e. my Supervision is from here, not Italy and my Neo Geo Pocket Color is also from here instead of Japan where the black and white version is the more common model.
My rarest game is
Gunfighter / Moonship Battle for RCA Studio II CIB which is a scarcity of 8 just loose.
Also repros are rare because only select few people know how make them. And only small quantities of certain ones will exist if not many people order them now while somebody still knows how to do it or cares about doing it. I'd say they are along the same lines as pirates and clones. My four are all NES - Super Mario Bros. 2j, Final Fantasy IIj, Final Fantasy IIIj and Galaxian. That also makes me wonder just how many Yobo FC Twin systems have been manufactured and sold before they upgraded to better compatibility.

They arn't really rare. You can pick up new copies on eBay for +/- 30 bucks. There is a US release of it as well which sells for about that also.
