Sunday May 28th - Pinball Pete's meet? (Southeast MI)

i know it's been done before, and certain people don't really care for the place for meets (here's looking at you ubersaurus ;) ) but i'd just like to see if there's any interest in a little get together on May 28th. and well, i like Pinball Pete's, and i haven't had the chance to get out there lately.

it's already set in stone that Spoon and myself will be there. additionally, i'm fairly certain each of our lady friends will be attending, as well as a few of my other friends. depending on who shows up from DP, it might also be cool if we could organize a post-pinball pete's meeting place for some home console gaming (preferably in the ann arbor/ypsilanti area!).

that's about it... gauging interest here... hoperfully this is far enough in advance to get some response and a good little get together will emerge. post if you're down for this!

Well, one thing is that nobody ever checks the events forum. Another is the date, so if we were to change the date, I bet we can get more people in. I remember that the one in '04 had its date changed a couple times, and it was quite a big gathering as you remember, I'm sure.

pretty much all the details of the pinball pete's meet have been stated in the thread already, so that's the deal so far. we're only looking at a small group, but it should be a good time nonetheless. myself, spoon, mr foodmonster, possibly davidbrit, spoon's girlfriend and my girlfriend, and a couple of my other friends. you're more than welcome to join us!

i'm figuring for an early afternoon meet time at the arcade.(probably 1 or 2 o clock) spend a bit of time there, and then there's the U of M campus to walk through to go check out some other stores (wizzy wig, a japanese novelty import store, and a sweet ass used cd joint too), and there's plenty of food around as well. we'll pretty much play it by ear.

also, bring a tradebox if you have one!

i guess that's about it really as far as the meet goes. i'll figure out a firmer time as we get closer to the date.

lastly, what gamecrazy do you work at? i find some good things in those stores every now and then.

I am about 25 minutes from pete's(ann arbor) in the Garden City area. I have pretty much every console from the NES on and if you like to play shooties I have tons of those and can do tate.

Yes, I am located east of ann arbor and west of detroit. I'm pretty much right in the middle. I am glad to see there is some interest. Lets see what we can do and make it happen!

So whats going on??? Anyone? Still set for 5/28? I just noticed its a Sunday. I can still make it as it is Memorial weekend but may have to make some adjustments. I usually do game nights on Saturday nights. Has another date been considered? Or is it just going to be a no go?

I just dont understand why there isn't any more intrest in this. I mean, concidering the other huge Pete's Meet, and how theres like, 3 people intrested this time. Are people not seeing this post or is nobody intrested?

Also, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get off work from one of my jobs or what the deal will be with that, because I've got 4 days that week requested off. I'll see what I can do though.

my game crazy is no where near detroit, but the livonia store has some sweet treats if you are a ps2 collector. ask to look at their wares. they should have something you might like. no cases though. a few years back gamecrazy said throw out all your cases. then a few months back game crazy says keep as much direct game material as you can. i get cases and keep most them cause we dont really have the room, but you could come across some nice stuff now and then. thak sguys for the invite, but i gotta work. boss is really riding me to sell more mvp cards.

I might have something going during the day (noontime) for a few hours on Sunday. Not sure might be saturday. Either way I should be able to arrive at the arcade in the afternoon. I guess we could go from there and see what happens.

Mr.FoodMonster: out of curiousity, do you know the sunday hours for pinball pete's? i know they run late, but was just wanting a definite time...

2am every day. Unless you're planning on staying around that long, I'd say you're fine. Because it only seems to be the three of us, and I'll have to leave after a short time, maybe you and Turbo should just meet. I dont want to screw you over just so we can game for two hours, and then have you wait around for TG to show up (sorry I dont remember your name from last time)

Or hell, we could just reschedual this whole mess so that more people can show up and not end up on a week where I have to ask for 5 days off of work.

Rescheduling might be the best idea. I am usually pretty open to any Saturdays. I won't be able to do anything the first weekend of June (2-4) as I plan to go to Milwaukee. Otherwise I am pretty much open to any options/ideas.
