Hi! Sorry for the partial OT. If there's a better forum where I may post this, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I just purchased a Genesis, version 2. I've hooked it up and everything. The picture does show on the TV -- but with a lot of white noise, disturbance, flickering, etc. It's almost invisible.

The console seems to work well. It's in great shape, has the right RF switch (1632) and the right AC adaptor (MK-2103). The TV is an Emerson 20-inch CRT flat screen. Same problem occurs with all game cartridges I tried.

If you can help, or if you know a place where I can get help, please do tell.

Thanks! :)
Claudio

hi there! depending what reigon you are in there's a little switch on the rf modulator box from "I" & "G" try flicking it, i've no idea what it does, but it's on sega saturn model 2 rf modulators as well, i think it adjusts the frequency slightly depending what sort of television you have.

hope this helps, and more importantly, works!

The channel 3 in your area might have too much interference. here in vegas i need to put mine on 4 for it to work.

Thank you for the fine replies. The problem is, there where the RF box should have the switch between channels 3 and 4, there is nothing... or at least, it appears to be so.

It reads "Ch. 3" and "Ch. 4" alright, but there is no switch there. Might it be the RF box is damaged/incomplete?

I'm in Iowa, btw. The Genesis is a regular American NTSC.

Thanks!
Claudio

I'd recommend tracking down some Audio Video cables instead of trying to find another RF.

Unless RF is the only way you can hook it up.

Or try your RF adapter with another genesis 2 if you can (if someone you know has one).
