Does anyone know if Black Tiger (also called Black Dragon) was released for the Famicom game system? If it was, I really want to get my hands on the ROM. That game's been driving me nuts ever since I saw a picture of it in Game Player's magazine many years ago. Any help you could offer (even a specific title so I can search for it with more precision) would be greatly appreciated.

Black Tiger was planned to be released in the US for the Nes, but the game was unfortunately cancelled. A Famicom version does not exist either. There may be a proto of the game in existence somewhere, though I am not entirely sure.

This is really the only evidence of the game we have. From what I can tell, the game took a Rygar-like transformation, in that it's not a direct arcade port...rather, it seems "adventureized."
I'd put my money on this being an actual screenshot and not a mock-up, but I can't say for certain. Capcom protos are CERTAINLY not unheard-of (hell, they may be the most common), and I never thought I'd see Califiornia Raisins either, so...here's to the hunt! *raises glass*
