SO nothing out of the oridinary, right? After simple question and answer sessions, this woman finally has me on the phone telling me that the "Nintendo" items are a Sega Saturn and Sega Genesis with dirt common sports game. She thought that a "Nintendo" was every game system! ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's classic.

She needs an education on how to differentiate Nintendo Nintendo tapes and Sega Nintendo tapes.

I'm starting to need to follow that site. I heard about a minty-fresh Krull pinball machine (only 10 made) that just sold for a total of $500 on there. Total estimated value -- $10 to $20K.

It seems like eBay used to be back in the day before eBay got greedy!

After reading a some posts on Craigs-List, I've came to the conclusion that basically every post is a joke or a scam, is this website even useful?

Hmm

I have yet to see any good game related items on philadelphia craigslist.

Is Philly not a hotspot for east coast arcade games?

It's allways funny to see people talk about things they know nothing about. Once I saw someone who wanted $300 each for The Legend of Zelda and the first Super Mario Brothers because "he read somewhere that they were the first games ever and they are really rare". It was no joke, I contacted him and he seemed to be a middle-aged man that found the games in his attic.

CL works. And dojo is right, you gotta spring fast on that mothereffer. I was driving out recently one Tuesday late afternoon to go game hunting, came home late, and checked CL, I missed a couple nice games for $50... and the guy put his listing up right as I left the house :(

oh well, you win some you lose some.

I've used CL 3 times now, one to buy Shadowrun from this guy for $10 (a good enough deal), another to buy a couple boxed Genesis games for 20, and just last Sunday sold off 23 US Saturn games for $130. 8-)

I started checking it about a month ago, and so far I've got a 3ghz computer with monitor and everything for $200, and a milk crate full of music CD's (about 150) for free. It may have just been my timing, as I've been watching for stuff since then and haven't seen much. I've tried to sell two things so far for reasonable prices and haven't had a single bite yet.

Somebody gave me some bar stools that were funky and cool but I already had some bar stools I liked better so I put them on Craigs list. Eight e-mails in three hours! Granted, I sold them cheap, but still.

I got a "karoke machine with a bunch of CD's" (also known as a JVC X'Eye with a bunch of NICE Sega CD games) for $100.

:D

I was too slow for that big-ass set of NGPC games, though.

:(

Dang... were you looking for karaoke machines and CDs at the time or did the description tip you off?

Someone game up a Coleco ADAM on the Montreal Freecycle (http://www.freecycle.org/) list not so long ago. Someone picked it up and brought it to the CCJVQ meeting. I think he left with it too, though.

CL's heart is in the right place, but it never works for me. Everything is sold or never gets a reply.

I missed out on a Pioneer CDL-99 laserdisk player with like 40 laserdisks for $200 @_@ @_@

Then there's always the guy with crap (or not crap, but too pricey) that is just WAY overpriced... that always sucks!
