What exactly is the difference between these packs and the regular releases? Are the game CD's exactly the same as the regular releases, but repackaged with some extra stuff, or is there something about the game CD's that makes them different from the regular releases? What I want to know is if the game itself has any way to distinguish it from the regular version, or is it identical to the regular version?

Yeah, what are they? Are they anything like the Panzer Dragoon double pack?

Well in particular, I'm wondering about the Koei premium packs. Sometimes they're called (name of game) with power pack or (name of game) with power up kit. I'm not sure what they include. Pics never show the contents, just the box. And the box is always the same as the CD art, but in a rather bulky box instead of just a jewel case.
There are others from other companies. Usually known as the limited edition. These are usually the exact same game as the regular version, but with a few extras packed in. But sometimes there is something different about the game. Like the Thunderforce special pack. As far as I know, the game is exactly the same, and the manual is the same, but the disc itself is labeled "special pack". So it is not exactly the same as the regular version disc of Thunderforce.
Right now I'm looking at Sangokushi premium packs vs the regular editions of Sangokushi. I want to know what the premium packs include, and I'm especially interested in any differences at all in the games themselves, however subtle.
But there are alot of other premium packs from Koei. And I can't seem to find any information about them other than their product numbers and sometimes a pic of the boxes. But I want to know if there is anything different about the game itself, like the ones from the Koei best series. Those all have "Koei the best" printed on them somewhere. They are basically just a "greatest hits" version of popular Koei games. So I want to know about any differences like that.

Does the Cyberbots Limited Edition count? That comes with an awesome hardcover book (none too many pages though), maybe something else. Very cool.
