found a trailer that i can watch, finally

http://www.macabre-productions.com/siren2/

there's a lot more action this time around, and from what i can decipher, it doesn't tone down the scare factor a bit. this is what re4 SHOULD have been like.

yeah, I enjoyed what I played of the first siren, so I can't wait for the follow-up..

Don't even compare that to Resident Evil 4.

...He's/She's comparing the scare factors between the games.
Resident Evil 4 wasn't scary. It pussed out.

I really enjoyed the first one, until I had to re-do a mission that ended up becoming difficult/frustrating. The game was "scary" up until I figured out how the AI worked, which made some of the missions easier than they were supposed to be.

I'm surprised to have heard that we're getting the sequel, since the first one didn't do soo good here. I guess the whole cult scene works with these types of games.

That looks awesome. Soon as it drops in the west, i'm grabbing a copy. I can't get enough of survival horror games.

working with a team-mate will mate killing the shibito more fun that ever! i liked re4, but it really let me down in the survival-horror aspect. there was a lot of buildup when i witnessed the village intro (with all the barricades and whatnot). however, after that and aside from the cabin and a few other small segments, it was basically "the suffering" with better weaponry.

in fact, the only time i ever really paniced was during mercenary mode, because of the time factor and the respawning enemies. Outbreak did a much better job of keeping you on your toes, and not thinking "oh boy, just another couple of rooms and i can afford that handy-dancy shotgun!".

the shallow story didn't help either. they also took out almost all the files! one of my favorite segments of the RE series is finding a small safe haven, and reading what some poor sap scribbled down before he was overrun by the undead.

if you can overlook cheap enemies, repeating (but slightly altered) levels, and annoying voice dub - YOU WILL fall in love with Siren. i sure did.
