The DVD of BloodRayne will mark the first time a movie and the game it's based on will come packaged together in the same case. The May 23 release contains both Visual Entertainment's BloodRayne and Majesco Entertainment's game BloodRayne 2 on separate discs. Both the R-rated theatrical version and the unrated director's cut of the film will come with the full game.
Looks like they really want to sell the movie, or maybe remind people that both the movie and the game exist.
i'm not sure if this is relevant or not but "Driven" for the ps2 was bundled with it's movie equivalent as well in places like wal-mart etc.

I'm almost positive that the first movie/game tie-in was the one for The Blair Witch series. 2 movies, 3 games...hours upon hours of suckage (though the first BWP was good, imo). Bad as most of these are, it does have the 'honor' of being the first of this kind.
As far as I know, anyway.

It sounds like this one is in the same case. When Wal*Mart/BestBuy/CircuitCity do those kinds of bundles they are seperate cases bundled together.

That's a sure sign the movie sucks [more than usual, in any case].

I wonder if we can go up to a video store and ask if we can just have the PC game? I thought the first BR was alright, and if you can get the second for free, why not?

I was going to buy the movie anyway. Now I get a lame sequell that totally contradicts the movie. Or does the movie contradict the games? This is like a "turkey or the egg" question, right?

They are probably starting to realize that Uwe Boll's movies just can't sell by themselves. They need to add something to them.
I think what needs to be added is the silhouette of a man and two puppet-robots in the lower-right-hand corner; have this trio throw snarky comments at the screen often during the movie. This could possibly make Uwe Boll's movies successful.

This is what happens when your movie only shows in 900 theatres (literally).

It didn't come out here
I might pick this up just to get the game and watch the movie that I know absolutely nothing about.

I'm a huge Bloodrayne game fan. Of course Both 1 and 2. And I heard the movie was worse than House of the dead. I think it's their way of getting you to pay 20 bucks for the movie. I would have gone to see it but it didn't come out in Maine. Even if it sucks I have to own it. Gotta collect all video game based movies. I just don't know how Boll could have screwed up a storyline like bloodraynes.

Oh yeah I forgot to say, they should have packaged it with a free T-shirt. Cause most everyone that's interested already owns the game.
