Me? I hate hate HATE (in Ebert's words) Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube. But I'll never sell it. Never. Not sure why. I keep telling myself, "As soon as I have a full Saturday, I'll really rip into this bitch and give it a go." So far, I've started it 8 times and never lasted more than half an hour. But I'll never sell it. How about you?

I probably won't sell Need for Speed: Underground. I tried to trade it in and was only offered £2. I may as well keep it for that amount.

Genesis RBI Baseball 3. Can't say I haven't tried though :D

Hey, a fellow Reds fan! Did you get to hear Arroyo knock one out of the park today? And he pitched really well, too. This could turn out to be a really good trade!

Oh, and to keep on topic, I never sell any games. I certainly do have a number of bad ones, though. Like Shaq-fu! LOL

I've got tons of crappy games I hate (can't think of them off the top of my head) but I'll never sell them. I keep them because they aren't worth hardly any money...plus, I'm trying to get as many video games as I can.

If they're crappy games I sell the ASAP. My rule is that I can only keep what I can fit into the below cabinet. I don't have the room for common carts or things I don't like :)

E.T., White Men Can't Jump, Bible Adventures, etc.

I'd rather be able to say I own this garbage anyway. It makes for good conversation for some reason.

Can't say I sell my games off either. I'm in this for collection and playing the games. Whenever I find good buys at the shops, I'll grab it. If I already own it at home then the worst of the 2 is sold to specific stores that pay top dollar for them, and so I don't have to deal with shipping through Ebay. It's worth the profit because I can't just sell Aladin for the Genesis on Ebay, no one bids on it. Same with half the other Genesis titles I find.

As for the crappy ones, they just end up back on my shelf after I crack at it for hours or days. I won't sell it, but if a duplicate is found in the wild for a great price then one of them is getting the boot later on. It's a good practice because my collection continues to get bigger and I make profits off games I already own, so some of it ends up paying for itself. It's a great practice to know the buy/sell values of games in your area and where you can get top dollar for trade-ins. I have 2 different stores I trade to.

There are quite a few games that I own yet hate.

The first that comes to mind is Drakkhen for the SNES. I hate that game, but I love my SNES collection. It would be counterproductive for me to sell it.

The only game I can think of is the Chrono Trigger side of FF Chronicles. I (unfortunately) need it or it won't be complete.

My sealed copy of Custer's Revenge. I won it at the infamous "Dig Dug Drop" at CGE2002. "Hate" may not be the best term. The problem is that I can't really display it in the Room of Doom because it just doesn't look right for an evangelical Christian like me to have a large pink box with the words "Swedish Erotica" sitting on the shelf. On the other hand, it's a unique bit of gaming history so I'll just keep it safe and hidden away.

And it's not classic, but my copy of GTA:SA also falls into this category. I was lucky enough to score a "Hot Coffee" copy at a decent price even after the recall. I played it for a while but just didn't enjoy it as much as III or VC. But SA is still part of the otherwise great series so it stays by default.

Let's see...

-Any sports game I own (except for Mario sports games, most racing games, Tony Hawk)
-Any crappy, generic piece of shit game I got from buying lots on eBay (you know the type...that random Ex-Mutants thrown in a Genesis lot...Independence Day thrown in a Saturn lot...etc.)
-Flawed Dreamcast games. I have a copy of Jet Grind Radio I bought new off eBay. Opened it, and it turns out Sega fucked up while burning it - my Dreamcast won't read it.

I never sell my games. I don't trash the defective ones (although they're pretty rare)... I just toss 'em on the shelf with the rest. I know which ones are defective, so I never grab one and go try to play it by accident. Just because it doesn't play doesn't mean it looks bad sitting on the shelf.

Off topic, but did you also see the way the Cubs pounced on the Reds yesterday? If Greg Maddux can homer like he did last year, anyone can do it.

Back on topic, I'll never sell the crappy SNES sports games I got in a bundle recently. Only because they're in such complete and mint condtion. Little pieces of gaming history.

The Cubs will always suck. At least the Reds have a chance this season.

first off, a disclaimer. i really don't like RPGs. especially of the turn based variety. that being said, i own FF, FF3, FF7, FF9, FF Chronicles, FF Antholoy, FF Tactics, FF Mystic Quest....

will i play them? no. will i get rid of them? no

i've realized now that the logic of collectors (of which i am one) if completely flawed. oh well

Any crap game that was a present from someone.

E.g. Turok 2 (GBC), Newman Haas Indy Car (MD)

Not to hijack the thread, but that's just uncalled for, man. You didn't need to go talking trash like that. I was just pointing out a potentially great trade the Reds made. I wasn't ripping on the Cubs. Even though I could. Easily. I mean, c'mon, first the Red Sox, then the White Sox, but there's no chance in hell the Cubbies'll pull it off.

I have a lot of games I hate but I'll never sell. Portal Runner, Fur Fighters, Nitro Kart, Ford Racing 3, Tomb Raider: AOD, NFS: Underground, GTA: VC...and that's just one system.

For me I only collect the games if I might want to play them if I hate it there is no way that I would keep it, for one thing it takes up space and for another if I can make some money by selling it then I can buy more games that I will actually enjoy.

I have lots of older games like this, but I've been trying just not to buy things I won't play anymore. I don't have the room to hoard as much as I used to.

I have a lot of racing games that fall into this category. I've got probably a dozen or so, but I'll only ever touch the best couple.

Nope. If I hate it, no reason to own it.

Now if it's so bad it's funny, I have a ton of those.

Batman Forever
Corpse Killer
Night Trap
ect.

These are usually the first games I get rid of, unless they are the ones that are hard to come by.

For me, that would be "Classic NES Metroid" for my GBA. I liked Super Metroid, but can't stand how glitchy Classic NES Metroid is.

For Example, I was not too far from Mother Brain, when I destroyed a Metroid to get it out of my way, and the game crashed!

Since I'd probably get about $1 for trade-in, I'm keeping it.

I have Magical Dinosaur Tour and Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective for the Turbo Grafx CD. I never play them, and don't care for them much. But I won't sell them. They help fill up my TG16 collection quite well.

I prided myself on never acquiring a Madden NFL Football game. Until I bought a used SNES system on ebay this past christmas, and bundled in with the system were 3 games, one of which as a Madden Football game.

I feel dirty just having it in the house. I am actually hesitating to throw it right in the trash. However, right now my will power is at 50/50. I think in another week I am going to have to courage to grab the thing and pitch it right in the garbage.

Time will tell...

Double Dragon 5 and Troy Aikman Football for the Jaguar. I only hold on to them as I want to have a complete Jaguar collection, otherwise I would have sold them long ago.

I also am not very fond of Myst 3 and Chronicles of Riddick for the Xbox. I should sell them, even though I know I probably won't get much for them.

I will never get rid of my copy of Master Builder for the Atari 2600. I will never play again that tedious piece of junk either.
