I was at Gamestop today and this game caught my eye, mainly because of the slutty chick on the cover and also because I've never seen it before (possible future rarity?) Almost picked it up but I passed since I didn't know anything about the game. When I get home, I see that there is 2 different versions of the cover art online:

Just wondering if the version of the Pro Fishing Challenge cover art *without* the chick is actually real or just an early mock-up. I see sellers on Ebay listing the "RARE BIKINI VERSION!" but I can't find any auctions of the other version that don't use a stock photo. If both versions exist, which one is the rarer of the two?
Also, anyone think it's weird that Atlus would publish a fishing game?

I've only ever seen the one with the 'chick' on the cover.

I have the bikini cover version (never heard of the other one). The main reason I picked up the title was (aside from the hot chick thing) was the fact that it was Atlus and that I thought it was pretty strange to see a fishing game from them.

I guess the other cover art is probably just an early concept that never was used then. I always see it as a stock photo only and have never seen any other pics of it, so that's probably the case.
I ended up buying it though as part of Gamestops B2G1 deal they got going on now. I dig Atlus games and thought that this was a real oddity, so I couldn't pass it up.

Do tell how it plays! I couldn't get over the horrid cover art. I figured that if they had some hot chick on the cover, that was the selling point, and not the game itself. ;)

I bought that game when it first came out due to online play, passed on that Rapala Fishing. It's pretty good. Some have said it's a bit different from other fishing games because you don't see the fish with an underwater cam.
Eight people can play online in free fishing, total weight match, or fish for a specific type of fish. There is also a glitch fish, well known to the small PFC community, some solitary fish out there that can never be reeled in no matter how long you've been sitting there trying to.
There is and never wil be any downloadable content for the game, as the back of the box mentions, as Atlus basically said it didn't sell well enough to warrant it.
There are four lakes, that you unlock playing the game, as well as better boats. There's even a rowboat in the game you can get. I never got that but heard it's difficult to control.
