Final Fantasy III (VI) US tv commercial

ok, so way back in 1990 something I remember Final Fantasy III US (VI JP) comeing out, I even remembering selling alot of stuff at a local flea market to make money so my mom could drive me up to the mall that evening so I could buy the game. but i never got to see the TV add for the game. my friend told me about it, haveing to do with a moogle beating up a bunch monsters from the game. I don't exactlly know why but i became determined to see that damned add. i watched and watched and watched the TV for it but I never was able to catch it and now years later it still eludes me. thanks to the internet i've been able to solve many little personnals goals like this but i can't seem to find this add anywhere, i'm starting to doubt it exsisted. I did already check that video game add site that of course had a ton of FF commercials both US and other but of course my FF III US add was not to be found. can anyone give me a link so I can finally see this stupid 1 or so minute add that has tormented me all these years?

I saw it twice (once a week) during the Weird Science/Duckman hour on USA back in the winter of 1994. I also remember seeing the Secret of Mana commercial twice on MTV.

Your friend is right. It has Mog the moogle holding auditions for the enemies and blowing them up (I just can't remember what he says during it!).

I vaguely remember seeing a Final Fantasy commercial back when I was a kid. Didn't it have Mog sitting in an office with a bunch of random monsters coming in?


I also remember seeing the Secret of Mana commercial twice on MTV.

I remember seeing the commercial to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night one too.

Yeah, I remember that commercial, and I also can't find anywhere to download it.. Basically, all these enemies would come in, and Mog wouldn't be afraid of them. "Next!" he would yell, except for Doom Gaze, which produced an "Oooh, scary.". And every one of them would wind up in a smoldering pile of ashes.

I thought the idea was that he was "zapping" them into the FF III (VI) game cartrige.

This was before the beginning of my second life in consoles (first life Atari, 1980-1985, second life PSX, 1999-) and my wife and I still laugh about the moogle saying "oooo, scaaary" his voice reminds me a little of the secretary monster in Monster's Inc ("Your stunned silence is veerrry reasurring") in tone, texture and accent. We had NO idea what Final Fantasy was at the time, but that commercial stands out. Good commercial. Too bad it hasn't been preserved anywhere.

yhea. i looked there several times in the past for this commercial and it wasn't there, unless they have added it lately. but there is a great selection there.

There was one commercial I remember very well that I didn't see on that commercial website. It's either for Tetris Attack or another Yoshi game, and it involves a fat guy eating until he explodes.

Oh man, when I saw this commercial, I remembered every word to it. That's kinda sad. "Polish up your old moves, baby."

I remember that commercial as well, but I always thought it was for a Kirby game (Kirby Super Star?). I could be wrong, too, it could be for a Yoshi game.
