Those of you who enjoy the greatness that is Beats of Rage may be very interested in their upcoming project: Age of the Beast.

Now I was expecting a good looking game, but for a homebrew that's free, this is looking absolutely fantastic. The link to the video is the first news item on the Senile Team Website (http://www.senileteam.com/).

I really, really am looking forward to this. And if the original BoR modding community is anything to go by, I think we're gonna see some amazing AotB mods.

P.S - Anyone got a DC copy of the BoR mod Hatchet Ninjaz please?

Who knows when this will actually drop, it's been years already. BoR now has four player support and the alternative ports outside of the original have far surpassed it. AotB looks great but there are some BoR mods out there that look even nicer. Also there are some upcoming mods (including the line of reworked / new Sailormoon games that I'm a consultant for) that are going to blow anything out there out of the water. We're talking some professional grade stuff.

The BoR thread over at DCEmulation is the place to stay on the bleeding edge. Nowhere near as busy as it once was though. If AotB has done anything, it's gotten a few people to kill what were shaping up to be some nice BoR mods since "AotB will be so much better!" :/

I'm certainly very interested in these Sailormoon mods, keep us posted!

What other BoR mods can you recommend, and where can I find them ready to burn, please? Borrevolution takes you to Megaupload, and it seems they want me to register and take money from me.

You need to wait for 45 seconds at Megaupload then an ad will come up, close it, the link is behind it. That is if they're still there. Or go to DCEmulation, and post a thread explaining that the download doesn't work, etc.

I really haven't gotten into many of them as much as Megaman War of the Past which was the first real mod. Strider X is supposed to be pretty good but the DC download is always broken. Any of the mods Mr. Q has worked on (Hyper Final Fight, Double Dragon) are excellent as well.

There are a couple of BOR compilation collections and the one i liked was a "Collection" or "Volume 2".

It had "Hatchet Ninjas" a SOR BOR Mod and a couple of Final Fight Mods as well as a "Double Dragon" MOD.

The SOR one out of that collection wasn't that great but "Hyper Final Fight 2" was pretty good.

What do I need to get the other BOR mods to run?

Just the normal BOR PC install, and then install the mods?

I've only ever played DC versions of mods (if there is a DC version).

But i'm guessing you install BOR then install the MODs.

I only run Dreamcast built burns myself as that's the core of BoR's fanbase and the most user friendly way to play. If you look carefully you can see in those threads that there's some silent bad blood between those of us who want the DC to be the top platform and those who think the XBox and other platforms are where the scene is moving. Of course you have to have modded systems and go through some crap to get things running on them. You just burn (a DC port of a mod) and play on the Dreamcast.
