activision dragster certificate

recently while looking through my 26 year old atari collection i found my activision dragster certificate for breaking 6 seconds. the time isn't all that hot but to my amazement it is certificate #4. i did a little research on the cert and found that there were thousands sent out. i also found that my cert and letter are slightly different. the personal info on my cert is written in large calligraphy rather than typed. the letter doesn't mention the patch which explains why i don't have one. i'm wondering if anyone has an early cert like mine. check it out.www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=16&t=85424&st=0

Less than 6 seconds? I'd say that is a pretty hot time, I've never done better than that...I think my best time is 6.14 or something like that.

I imagine Activision wasn't expecting to hand out very many certificates for beating 6 seconds, which is probably why they went to the typed certificate thing.

I never got my patch or anything, I was able to get to 5.97, and I think once I even hit a 5.91 or so.

I sent in everything, but I never saw the fruits of my labor...

Well, anyone know Bob Chapman, the Membership Chairman who wrote the letter? Yeah, I'm half-serious, heh heh.

Anyway, #4....that's awesome!! Great collector's piece for sure. I had no idea those were numbered.
