So i need to make 5,000$. With that in mind I have to sell pretty much all of my games. I am only keeping my harvest moon collection and I am putting the rest up on ebay in 2 weeks and i am wondering if you guys can give me a ball park range of valu of all this stuff and ideas on how to ebay it all. AS well I have an N64 with about 40 games, nes with about 75 games, sega with about 15 games, sega saturn.

that about sums it all up. any input on value or how to make the most money out of this would be great. I have my own ideas about how to do it, but with something this big, the more info the better.

You should try selling it on here first, I'm sure you could get rid of a bunch of it on here.

On the high end, 700-900.
On the low end, 400-500.
It all depends on if you do it as a lot, individual, or sets.
No matter how much you get it wont be what you need and it wont be what you paid. Also, selling here may be the better bet as last I knew e-bay was flooded with lots of old games.

I'd say its worth closer to $1500 or so. He does have Donkey Kong Comp Edition and lots of rare guides, Chrono Trigger and Earthbound, and some nice complete games.

On the other hand, it is probably a lot easier to sell to people here then on eBay. Here you don't have eBay listing/selling fees and then paypal fees. You may get $50 for a game on eBay but get offered $40 here, but in the long run the $40 might actually pocket you more money after all the fees.

I think the best strategy would be to sell the rarest games individually, and then sell everything else as one huge lot. This is what I would do.

i was thinking it would go for more than that. i will list them all individually for the rare ones and than do lots. ill probably list a few things on the forums in a week or so, but not much since its hard to compete being canadian and paying ridiculous prices to ship an item and have canada post lose it. thanks for the input guys. keeping my fingers crossed and hoping i dont have to sell. Maybe i'll get a ridiculous amount of taxes back when i file.

Hmf. I think you'll get more than the $700. Unless every game in there went for under $5 each, then ya expect under $1000. But, you have a bunch of big titles that people want ($5-30+) such as the bomber man games, dozens of mario titles, tetris, final fantasy, kirby, lemmings, zelda, donkey kong, breath of fire, demos, ect. I claim somewhere up to $2500 tops, but no where near $5000 unless someone was crazy and needed it bad. Good luck though.

You can pull in at least 2500, probably a lot more. Anybody who says this collection is worth less than 1000 dollars doesn't know what they're talking about. Lufia 1+2, FF 2+3, Mega Man X2, these are games that sell for 30-50 all the time on eBay..you have 30+ games that are high valued carts. If you sell everything in one big lot you'll get much less. Sell all the rare and valuable stuff individually on eBay, then sell the rest in small lots of sport games, adventure games, and so forth. You will always get more on eBay than you will here, because here on DP you are selling to people trying to make you low offers. Let the values be determined in a bidding atmosphere.

Plus, on top of all the regular games you have, there's the DK Competition (300+ $$$), and all the promo games (1000's $$$ ???), and many rare strategy guides. So yeah, 2500-4000 is what you can get.. don't be fooled when a bunch of people make low offers to you in PM's for your valuable stuff.

Well, I don't know too much about the promo games or competition prices, so my figure was geared more towards the regular titles. Like I said before though, anything under $1000 is WAY too damn low. I hope some of those games are in the hundreds so you can reach your goal, but remember you won't see these again I'm sure (Unless you have some incredible hook-ups).

As for the Aerofighters though, let us know what your pricing is on that title.

Some of us are actualy looking at what he has and are trying to give a rough price that is real. Sure, we could say he could get tens of thousands for it and in the right situations, he would. The problem is that these are not the best times. With the revolution release coming up, people are selling nes and snes games for dirt cheap and many are simply unwilling to shell out the big money some of his games generaly demand. I gave my honest opinion on what I thought the value would be. If he gets more, I'm all happy for him cause he did better then I thought. If he does worse then I think he sold himself short. Either way, he asked for free opinions on what he could expect from his colection. What more can you expect?
