This is one of the CDs I found yesterday for $1 and wasn't sure where it comes from. I don't have a Dreamcast hooked up and the Rarity Guide said there was a JP release of VC2 only. Is this true and where is this from? Is it US? Is it even for the Dreamcast?

Theres a virtua cop 2 in the Sega Smash pack vol 1 (there never was a vol 2). Also comes with some other genesis games. So for once America scores one on Japan!

Sadly, that's the most action the mighty DC bullet has seen in some time, thanks to their sucky new logo.

Don't tell me you seriously think that's an official release. Look, the logo is smashed down, it's a LABEL with full bleed to the center of the disc, the DC Comics logo, doesn't say Sega nor Dreamcast anywhere on it, etc...
Anyway, you paid about $1 too much.

I own a few of those discs. They're exactly the same!
A friend of mine gave me some obvious bootleg DC games that another mutual friend gave him; they were basically PAL versions so they wouldn't display properly on my DC. Still, they were designed in a similar fashion to your disc - DC logo included.
I dunno what I did with those bootlegs, they should still be around my room someplace. LOL

Yup. I had never seen that logo before and grabbed it. Wasn't sure what system it was for or anything (Thanks to the lack of markings on it) but guessed Dreamcast. I saw it was the DC Comics symbol but didn't want to think anything of it until I got some responses. Oh well, thanks!

For me the give away was all US dreamcast games (that I'm aware of) have an 1/8 inch circle near the middle of them with no disc labal, and then about another 1/2 inch of label, and then the disc center. I don't know if that makes sense, buy if you look at a legit US Dreamcast disc, you should see what I mean.

Except Sonic Adventure LE wich is Japaneese style. With full artwork to the center of the disc.
