I went and stopped by a local video store today. They just started carrying strategy guides. They had one I wanted...Panzer Dragoon Orta! So I got a bit excited and was about to buy it, when I flipped thru the pages. I noticed something odd....they'd stuck one of those square security tags ON one of hte pages...you know the red metal ones that are well nigh impossible to remove even from plastic? Basically, they ruined the guide, cause you'll NEVER get that sticker out. Bleah! And they're charging full price for it! Is it just me or is that really irritating? Anyone else had problems like this? Or other irritating security measures?

While annoying i hardly think that it ruined the guide. Was it placed in the middle of a map or something that prevented you from reading the book. The only way I can think that it could have ruined the guide is if you were planning on reselling it in mint condition.

It's not so much a security measure but i get sick of Goodwill , Pawn Shops, etc , selling games and writing with permanent marker the price on them. >:( Or putting stickers with the price and info on the labels. >) Good Lord can't they just put a small label on the plastic part of the cart? x_x And what the heck is up with putting clear tape all around the game systems to hold all the accessories to it. Do they know how hard it is to get that sticky stuff off?
Well sorry if this was a little off topic and thanks for listening to my Rant. :D

Thanks I never thought of that. Does it work on the labels too? Or will they still fade and rub off ?

It will take anything off of plastic....including the label...so I wouldn't use it on those. But for permanent marker, and especially the tape residue, I highly reccomend it. Becareful how much you use...it's possible to discolor the plastic, but I never have.
