I hope I'm not the only person that thinks this is ludicrous.

Apparently, the seller forgot to hold off the listing until the next DP Fake eBay auction contest.

He says he is doing it for "fun" and knows that it prolly wont sell. He wont think its so "fun" when he gets the ebay fee for posting an item for $5000.00.

It costs $4.80 in listing fees to post an auction with a starting price $500 or more. While it may be $4.80 wasted, it's not gonna break the bank.

That Mario-A-THon article is interesting. Wil Wheaton won the competition. Interesting that Nintendo had a game competition pre-1990.

I thought I had every issue of the Fun Club News, but I don't remember this one for some reason. Hmmm. Maybe I only received them from issue 2 on.

It is a tough one.

Worth closer to $100 than $5000 but I did see one sell for $1000 once.

A dime, actually.

"Besides, eBay had a promotion and this listing cost me only 10 cents, so still not a bad deal."

You see these auctions CONSTANTLY when there's the $.10 fixed auction style promotion.

Yes, i am the person that won that.
I haven't received it yet, but it looks to be in pretty good condition, with no writing in it, which is a big problem with those.

I figure it was a pretty good deal because I have seen them go for $1025 once, and as low as $14.95, that one sold only 3 weeks ago too! Someone used the buy it now right as I found the auction. WHAT A STEAL!

Just received it today and it's basically in perfect conditin, except for a fold down the middle. It was well worth the $110 I paid for it! It also included all the extras it originally came with, membership cards, etc.
