Anybody know what the name of the font Atari used for their text labels?

I prefer Hammer Fat. The S's are more accurate. I found this when diggindgaround AtariAge for it. I think it's one that was actually used by Atari, where Atarian (I believe) is a recreation by someone based on the font Atari used.

Bauhaus and Hammer are totally different. Bauhaus is definitely in the lineage of the typeface, but Hammer is what Atari was using. Bauhaus is kind of the grandfather of Hammer.

That font looks like the MumboSSK that Atari used between 1979 up until the silver boxes.

The one before that was Hammer fat.

I wish I could find a template of the Atari VCS cart labels for either photoshop or Illustrator.

Or you could just go here (http://www.atariage.com/2600/archives/AtariFonts/index.html?SystemID=2600) and save yourself a whole lotta trouble! :)
