Xbox Memory Card - How many blocks of memory?

I need to buy an Xbox Memory Card soon so i can transfer some saves to a new xbox once i get it, and i was wondering how many blocks Xbox Memory Cards can handle.

I checked the box for the official Microsoft memory card, but it said nothing on the number of blocks.

How many blocks of memory do xbox memory cards hold? Thanks.

500. Not to much and some saves are locked to the system(burnout 3).

I think the official block count is 512. The easiest way to do it is to get an AV splitter and hook up both XBox's to it so when your transfering stuff you can just switch between systems really fast.


I did just what your about to do and ended up loosing a number of games because they are HD bonded. Forget stuff like DOA, Ninja Gaiden, Lego Star Wars, Whacked, Kung Fu Chaos, Burnout 3/ Revenge, Armed & Dangerous among others.

Either wire up a usb port or buy an xbox to usb converter. Then you can use a thumbdrive to transfer the saves.

Actually that is a very, very good idea. But if your not in the position to wire up a port i'd reccomend you try http://www.megaxkey.com/

It holds 4 times the space of a regular Xbox memory card and thanks to some tools on it's sister site http://www.xboxsaves.com, there are ways to hack your locked save games.

Will my SanDisk card reader work in this USB convertor? it supports 4 types of cards, but i only use it for the card for my Digital camera..

The xbox-usb adapter allows you to use a regular usb flash drive as a memory card. so you don't use a card reader, just plug it into a usb port (after making it think its an AR card)

I'd suggest you just make a converter. They're incredibly easy to make.

Make sure to check if your flash drive is xbox compatible first - some aren't.
