Next-Generation magazine - cover variations?

The only magazine that I have a nearly complete collection of is Next-Generation. One of the finest gaming magazines of all time, especially when it came to the movers and shakers of the industry. They could also hype games up like nobody else, and then hide a two paragraph review with 3 stars in the back of their magazine.


Anyways, sorry to ramble on there, but what I'm interested in, is which issues of Next-Generation had any cover variations? You know, like when EGM comes out with an issue that has 4 different covers? I'm pretty sure that Next-Generation didn't do anything like that, but they may have had one or two cover variations that I missed. The only thing that i know of, is an issue that was given out at one of the e3 shows, that had a picture of a gold Zelda N64 cart on a white backgroud. I have every normal issue, but I don't have that issue. Does anybody have this issue? Is it the same as one of the regular issues, but just has the different cover?


Or is it a special e3 issue that has content different from all of the regular issues?

I'm pretty sure that Next-Generation didn't do anything like that, but they may have had one or two cover variations that I missed. From what I recall Next Generation didn't have multiple covers except for the issue you cited. You're correct about the one given out at E3 having a different cover but that was the only thing different about the two copies. The insides, as far as I remember, were exactly the same.
