Thank you Konami!
I guess it wasn't a question of "if", but "when". When looks like this November!

That Dual Moons thing may have been a hoax, from what I seem to note.

Well, the name had always been speculation. Nintendo Power is supposedly going to reveal info next month. I think that it seems likely that this list is real.
I was more interested in the Silent Hill, original sin game further down there. That looks hot.

It's probably going to be based off Symphony of the Night again. People are going to buy it, realize it's incredibly average and something they've played MANY times before by now, but they'll still spew their blind love for it while it recieves 9/10s by reviewers.
Oh well.
Wouldn't that be sweet if they made a juiced-up classic style sidescrolling CastleVania? Now, I'd be down with that.

Yes that would be cool, and I'm hoping they do that soon, but I strongly disagree on your view on all Castlevania Metroid esque titles post SoTN. They've been solid and fun adventures. AoS and DoS definately deserved the high scores they recieved.

they have been getting good reviews because they're great games, and also have much better replay value than a straight side scroller.

I didn't post this originally 'cuz I didn't know how Think Tank would like being considered "famous," or infamous...but in any case, Here's the story (http://www.forumplanet.com/classicgaming/castlevania/topic.asp?fid=3691&tid=1877547) about how the Dual Moons hoax got started.
It's scary how quick "news sites," even respectable ones, are to jump on rumors.
Oh, and Portrait of Ruin is almost certainly going to be another SotN style game...sigh

Symphony, in it's way, was too groundbreaking. So well recieved that pretty much every CV after it was based off the idea.
If they ever dared to make a real Symphony sequal, it'd get the same treatment of say, Chrono Cross. It's pretty hard living up to Trigger, unreal expectations and all.

Another Castlevania title for the DS so soon? Didnt one title get released only 2 months ago or something?

Remember how they pumped them out on the GBA? It was like 3 games in 4 years. That's probably how they are going to roll them out on the DS.

I hope its worth playing, to tell ya im getting tired of the rpg style castlevanias now (imagines someone would want to lynch me about now) I guess it just cause i played through a whole lot of em already and I hope the next one has some extra new content or much more killer gameplay.

What are all these GBA games? You can't really compare the situation to Chrono Trigger to Cross, as there they went from the SNES to the PlayStation. With SotN, you went from a full-res home console to handheld machines. Even on the DS resolution is limited so people may feel it's not quite as "grand."
