If anyone could help me with this problem I would be GREATFUL!

I was playing the other day and in the middle of a game it reset on me and said "USING CMOS COINAGE"

What does this mean? Is there maybe not enough juice to power the sound and video board at the same time??

Please help

lemme guess, mortal kombat(or something midway/williams at about that time)? :) you're battery on the pcb has gone.

get the dipswitches and set the board to dipswitch coinage, should fix the problem.

what's the game pcb?

dip switch settings can be found here:

http://www.crazykong.com/dips/

the dip banks are on the game pcb, just flick them over when the machine is turned off. on midway games there's a test menu what settings you've got the dips as (attract sound, difficaulty etc)

while you are in the back of the machine, it would be a good idea to check the +5v line it should read out at about +5.2v (meter from pin 1 + pin 4 on the jamma edge connector), if it's not reading at about 5.2v it should be powered on a switcher and there will be a trimming pot on the supply, take it up very steady to 5.2v.
