Much like Codemasters in the UK during the 80s seemingly had everything as a "simulator", following the unexpected success of Brain Training, what if they were now thinking of rereleasing other DS games in the same vein? LOL

If it hits big in the US then you bet you will see many of them here.

If everything was like BT, I'd be a lot smarter.

But they're not, so I'm not.

Played the demo for some 20 minutes, which turned out to be 2 hours. The "game" is fun, cheap and will have many more sequels to come.

Hopefully they'll work on the interface a little, like if you make pointy 4's, they are read as 9's. In Japan there's only one (taught) way to write any number, letter, symbol. Grreat, but in the US, there are at least 3 ways to write a 1 that I can think of. 2 if you don't count the freaky European 1.

It is freaky! Like a mutant 7 or something.

If more games were like Brain Age, I wouldn't have a 77 in Algebra I.

I picked up the game after work today, and it's actually quite a lot of fun. I haven't had any problems with writing numbers yet -- I was able to do Calculations 100 with no errors -- but for some reason, I can't get the game to understand when I say the word 'blue'. :(

In the first test where you get your initial 'brain age' measured, you're shown a series of color words, written in one of 4 different colors. You're supposed to say the *color* of the word, and not the word itself. It was able to understand the other three colors (yellow, red and black), but I had to say 'blue' an average of 5 times each try to get it to actually register. I ended up with a brain age of 80 because it kept on thinking I was getting the answer wrong... ;)

I found say putting the hard accent on the "ue" as opposed to the "bl" helped it register properly. Sure you end up sounding all Frenchie, but it worked.

Brain age thinks that I am a complete tard at math - because it completly refuses to recognise my number 9s. I'm trying to get used to the way it expects me to write a 9 - but it's really hard when you are trying to do the problems quickly to re-train how you do something like that. Unfortunately there is no way to train it to get used to your handwriting.

On the other side it's the best implementation of Sudoku i've seen so far. On that alone it was worth the 19$ to me.

Right now half my Best Buy's DS section is taken up by Brain Training cartridges. This isn't Japan, where adults read comic books. Doubt they're going to sell them all any time soon.
