Lately I’ve been listing some video games on ebay and for whatever reason it seems like the majority of bidders are new ebay members with zero feedback. Right now I’ve got a listing up and a zero feedback bidder, who registered today, has already bid four times in a row and is the only bidder on the auction. I’m really concerned that it’s going to start looking like I’m shill bidding. I’ve only had this problem recently and just with video games. Anyone here having a similar experience?

Well if your having problems with zero feedback people. Put in your paying info...for them to e-mail you first before they bid. Also noobs dont know how to bid...they always bid more then once on the same auction.
I've had zero feedback people buy from me and I've had no problems so far.

I've never had a problem with zero feedback bidders either but it just seems strange that so many are bidding on these game auctions. Oh well, guess I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

The only problem that I've ever had with zero feedback eBayers is that they sometimes never leave feedback.

This has been happening 10X as much recently for me, too. It is worth taking the extra minute to check a new user's bidding history to see if he is legit or not. If the person has won/is winning dozens of items and still has no feedback, they're just messing around. If they are only bidding on one/two items, they are most likely for real.
Also, i have the feature turned on where you can see the high bidder's email address on the item page. Typically, if a new user has a Yahoo/Hotmail account, it's not a good sign. If they have a legit name from a private domain, they are probably a serious bidder.
I have saved myself a lot of hassle, money, and time by doing this in recent months, without damaging the bottom line at all. My non-paying bidders are way down too.

That's just it, they're signing up on the very day I list the item so there's no bidding history to check.

Where is this option? The only thing I'm finding is where the e-mail address is shown after the auction is over. Is there an option to show the bidder's e-mail address while the auction is active?

It really doesn't matter what you say in your auction listing, you can't prohibit zero feedback bidders from bidding on your auctions. eBay preferences allow you to block people with feedback under zero.

Ever since I used the Paypal required option it helps weed out the n00bs.

Yes, but it also excludes potential buyers that pay via money order. :(

My Ebay ---> Prefs ---> General Prefs ---> Show User IDs with email addresses (select Yes). You need to be logged in to see the email addresses, obviously.

The problem is, in my specific situation, is that the zero feedback bidders are registering the day I list the auction which might seem like I'm shill bidding. So far I haven't had any problems but this is the first time I've ever seen this type of thing happen so frequently.
