I would like to know if anyone can confirm whether or not the following N64 titles were released as a Player's Choice version (either box or cartridge):
Bomberman 64
Bomberman Hero
Donkey Kong 64
F-1 World Grand Prix
F-Zero X
Perfect Dark
Pokemon Stadium
Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics
If anyone has a box or cart for any of these games that has a PC logo on it, please let me know. I would really appreciate any help you guys can give on confirming these. Thanks for looking!

Perfect Dark was a PC game wasn't it.
All the others I don't think they were.

Perfect Dark was a PC game wasn't it.
All the others I don't think they were.
It was n64 - you needed the expansion pack to play single player.

Well I have an official list that came directly from NOA. What I'm trying to do is confirm that all of the games on NOA's list actually do exist as PC titles. The eight games that I listed above are on the "official" list, but I have never seen them myself. The others on the list I either own or have seen as a Player's Choice title. That's why I was asking for confirmation.
Also, NONE of the Tony Hawk games are on the list that I got from Nintendo of America.

Ah ok, sounds good. I will try and keep my eye out for some box art or cart art for them.

Also, Banjo-Tooie wasn't on the official NOA list either. Neither was WCW/nWo Revenge. I'm almost positive that niether of those were PC titles.

No No No... :D I wasn't trying to sound like a jerk :eek 2: 8-) I really REALLY appreciate the help. That's why I asked everyone. The NOA list is the main thing I have to go on.

Oh I know! Just stating the list I found was wrong then. I will still keep an eye out for ya! 8-)

Well nothing really guarantees that the "official" list from NOA is completely correct either x_x :D That's why I'm asking for the confirmation help.

Bomberman 64 made Player's Choice? Funny, I've never seen one before.
EDIT: Oh, now that I see that the list might be wrong, I'm pretty postive Bomberman 64 never had a Player's Choice re-release.

That's why I'm asking for the confirmation. However, Bomberman 64 was on the list that NOA sent me.

At this point in time, I think we can confidently assume the list Nintendo maintains is in regards to games that were lowered in price, and not necessarily reprinted. Who knows though, maybe there are cases of PC reprint Bomberman's in NOA's warehouse.

Thanks for the link, but there's actually quite a few on that list that I'm pretty sure never made PC status. I think that maybe there were some price drops that were never actually reprinted with PC logos like Vectorman said.
The only ones I'm really interested in confirming are the ones that were actually reprinted with the gold PC logo. There are 27 games on the list that NOA sent me and I have confirmed that 19 of those exist WITH the gold PC logo. The 8 games I listed in the OP are the ones that I have never seen printed with the PC logo.
Thanks again for all the input and help so far guys! :)

I've been grappling with this one myself at VGR:
Perfect Dark:
http://www.vgrebirth.org/games/game.asp?id=4092
Pokemon Stadium:
http://www.vgrebirth.org/games/game.asp?id=4091
Could be jsut the boxes had the PC logo and that loose games weren't branded...dunno.
I have most of the other questionable ones in my DB as well...but without corresponding pics...so their existence is still suspect.

Thanks for the post Rev. I appreciate the link to the two pics. I had run across the pic of Perfect Dark, but I had never seen the Pokemon Stadium. Have you ever seen the actual box on those two or just the two stock photos?
Please keep me updated as you find others...if you do anyway ;)

They are both stock photos, scoured from google searches AFAIK. Really can't substantiate the existence of them.

I've seen the stock photo's before and don't think much of them, except for the fact that they go along with Nintendos Official PC list.
I've seen plenty of stock photo's for games that are completely different then the actual releases. I think they were probably nintendo's mockups from there website for a Press Release regarding the announcement of new PC titles or something like that. Looking at the quality of the PD one, I doubt anyone else made it. Notice how the Expansion pack text is neatly above the PC logo.
With Perfect Dark, I highly doubt that there is an alternate box variation. Just look at all of the new ones floating around at prices that couldn't be much lower. Pokemon Stadium, might be a bit more viable, but still, I don't think anyone can recall seeing one.
One thing to take note of, is the NP-XXXX-USA numbers. I know that the PC reprinted/rebranded games got new numbers such as NP-XXXX-USA-1, GoldenEye has a -2. I would guess that means there was a -1 for one reason or another. I know I have seen at least a Mario Party game box with a -1 after the part number. I think it was for a new print that included a warning and insert to send in for a free rubber glove, in regards to using palms and getting bliters on some minigames.
I think that's enough for now, but I think that the best thing to do is keep our eyes peeled. (eBay is key for variant hunting, just ask some of our resident PSX collectors.)
