Hey guys,
K, so there's this girl right. And she wants to know the name of a game she used to play, and I really want to figure it out for her. Hopefully somebody here knows what she's trying to describe: (Its most likely on the SNES or the Genesis)

Here's our conversation on msn:

Katie says:
yo...do u remember that game, it was a fighting game... and there were alot of characters... and one of them had a trident, and one was like a girl who'd been burned at a stake, and one was like a grim reaper dude with a huge blade...

Katie says:
and each of them had their own like "fighting scene"

Will says:
ahh... whats a trident?

Katie says:
it looks like a pitchfork... but he was like part fish kinda...

Will says:
lol

Katie says:
his fighting scene was in the water

Katie says:
but just up to your ankles

Katie says:
please tell me u know what i'm talking about

Katie says:
they all died like unjust deaths

1000 Meseta reward for the person who tells me first
thanks
Will

That's Eternal Champions all over. Her memory is a little confused on some things though. There wasnt a girl burned at the stake, but you could do that to a girl or any other character on Xavier's stage. THe Fish Character is also named Trident, and has one for a hand.

Edit... PS, it was a genesis and even better Sega CD game.

Heh. This was one of the first I *didn't* know the answer to. :embarrassed: Not a fighter, beat-m-up player.

I normally despise fighting games, but EC is one of the few in my collection. I thoroughly enjoyed that game.

Just wondering.. what's the differences between the GEN version and the SCD? (music.. I'm assuming). I bought the SCD one when I first started collecting because I remembered renting it many years before and enjoying it. I didn't even know it was out as a cart until a couple of years ago.

The Sega CD version has more characters, and a new last boss (the Dark Champion). They also made some new Backgrounds for some characters, and added a CG intro and endings, and New ways to dispatch your enemies like Cinekills and more. There's also loads of secret characters to unlock. It's just leaps and bounds above the Genesis version.

Me too. I usually dont even bother opening these threads anymore. If theres at least one person on the planet who doesnt know the answer...I dont either.

I was just playing EC (genesis version) last week - I wish I had gotten here sooner! lol

It's a great game, but frustratingly hard - I've only ever beaten it once.
