A missing package miracle!

Today I received a letter and a check.

It seems a gold coin I sent out with delivery confirmation never arrived at its destination. When the guy tried out the DC number I gave him, it came up as invalid. I gave him a refund. This was March of 2005!

The letter states that he recieved his package April 18th, 2006 with my priority stamp and the newspaper I used to wrap it dated March 10, 2005.

My question is, how the hell does a package take 13 months to deliver?! LOL Now I'm hoping some other missing packages turn up...

Probably fell out of a cart & underneath someone's desk. Or a shelf.

Then a year later during annual cleaning they found it.

Simple.

I've seen it happen many many times.

I've had it happen to me with UPS.

It was around Christmas, and I had been ordering whole bunches of gifts; I decided to get a small something for myself. That package never showed up... until about 1.5 years later. I laughed; I had completely forgotten about it.

Odd thing - and somewhat disturbing - is that the tracking number showed that it had been delivered on time, aka 1.5 years before it was.

In any case, it's nice that the guy who bought it from ya was honest and sent ya a check.

Well the price of gold has gone up quite a bit since then. I am sure he was more than happy to buy it at year old prices.
