Any discontinued series you think they should keep making?
I was thinking about Ninja Gaiden for XBox, and wondered what other games should they be continuing? Contra came to mind, and I did enjoy Shattered Soldier (Contra's 2D PS2 game), Kirby's still going strong, and even Sonic is having new games.
What games would you like to see continued?
I'd personally like to see Wrath of the Black Manta continued, and Wizardry (it's one of my favorite RPG series!)

Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle 4 and ThunderForce 6 on the Dreamcast, please.
I would have liked Capcom to expand on the Power Stone series. I think the first 2 are excellent and it'd be a great online multiplayer game.
I would love to see a sequel for Eternal Darkness, since even the creators said that they have more than enough material for one.
A Parasite Eve seqeul would be nice, as well as a Buishido Blade 3 that combines the greatness of the first two, into one.
I would also like a Code Name: Viper remake/sequel and see the continuing adventures of Mr. Smith.

They're going to release the "Power Stone Collection" for PSP, so they could easily continue the series if it sells well.

Many Sega ones.
Streets Of Rage
Golden Axe
Alex Kidd In Miracle World
Shinobi
Nights (we might be getting this one)
Panzer Dragoon
Chakan
Astal
Dynamite Heady
They're just sitting on all of those! Sheesh.

Star Tropics definitely needs a comeback. I've actually started playing through them again because of how fun I remember them being. They weren't terribly difficult, but hard enough to keep you coming back, and the story was great.
And then of course there's Kid Icarus, but that's an obvious answer.

None. I prefer that designers concentrate on original works instead.

Contra, but it needs to maintain the classic styling.
Double Dragon, reenvisioned in the style of The Warriors
One Must Fall 2097, a real sequel not crap like OMF: Battlegrounds.
Baseball Stars, we need a good arcade baseball game.
D, why? Because i love it so.
Eternal Darkness, because the insanity is cool.

What I'd like to see sequels for (or existing series that should be continued I guess)
- Little Nemo
- Kid Icarus
- Eternal Darkness
- Alien Hominid
- Valis
- Crusader of Centy
- PN 03
- Streets of Rage
- Alex Kidd
- SW Pod Racer
So many more that would be awesome to see.

I think it would be pretty neat if Blizzard created a brand new The Lost Vikings game that's 3D. Of course I could see them somehow messing it all up and pissing people off, but I'd hope for the best.
Another cool title would be Total Annihilation. I haven't seen jack about updates for developement on Supreme Commander in awhile and question it's 2006 release. It'll be a disappointment because I wanted to purchase it the day of release and pay extra if it had a T-shirt. It would be the 3rd game in the series, if you know of the Total Annihilation Kingdoms game that was #2 and kinda blew, but was still fun to play.
A Descent 4 would be freaking awesome. I don't know if it's in the making or what but if it gets out and on shelves it's another title I'd be sure to grab. I really enjoy Interplay's Descent series and spent many hours beating, rebeating, and playing multi-player.
I haven't seen a Crash game in awhile. Did the PSX mascott die?

This isn't exactly what you were asking (as it's not a discontinued series), but it can definitely relate. I really think that Nintendo needs to make another classic Mario game. It's pretty much been 10 years (since 1996 - When Nintendo released Super Mario 64) that there's actually been a standard, classic styled Mario.
Since then, they've released Super Mario Sunshine, which in my opinion, does not consitute a Mario Game. Also instead of putting work into a new Mario game, they just seem to be making spin-off after spin-off to market Mario's popularity to the fullest. Everything from Mario Party, to Mario Baseball, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, etc, has come out but no classic Mario game.
That's just me, though.

I love Battletoads!
And, I do agree, there do need to be some more true Mario games.

How about a new Donkey Kong Country game? It would be nice to have a new one of those to play through.
Probably not going to happen since Rareware is with the Big N anymore.
I new Buster Bros. would be cool, maybe not for console, but for a handheld. You could make some good levels out of two screens.
A new Metal Slug would be very cool.
I'd like a new Power Stone also, that would be sweet.
That's about all for me.

I totally agree, with one exception: I really liked Sunshine.

True dat. Still, it'd be nice to see Anachronox finished up and done right. Such potential, that game!
- Alien Hominid
I wouldn't be surprised if Dad 'n' Me turned into a full console release.

I like how this post makes it look like Konami is just one guy, in his basement floating around in a little wave pool LOL
Anyway, I'd like to see more Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi, and also the games Cosmic Monkey mentioned.
Also, another Chelnov, plz.

In all fairness to Capcom this might turn out well.
Edit: Oops, how did I forget this? REmake Resident Evil 2 and 3 for next gen systems. That'd be great.
Duke Nukem :D - I'll never let them live it down.
Gauntlet
Kings Quest
Space Quest
Battle Chess
Archon
Double Dragon
Iron Draggon

bunch of great ones already mentioned. :) One that I've thought of that I used to like playing is Killer Instinct. I'd like to see an updated version of that. I remember always trying to pull off those gazillion hit combos. LOL It was pretty cool when I was able to pull them off.
