What the hell? Since when is the original SH *that* valuable? Of course, it looks like the really high priced ones are won by fake accounts (like this one (http://cgi.ebay.com/Silent-Hill-Greatest-Hits-Playstation-New-Sealed_W0QQitemZ8278564091QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem)).

Now I hope they make a popular Tiger-Heli movie so I can sell my 50000 accumulated cartridges of that for $40 a pop.

I just checked ebay a little while ago and the prices are up there for Silent Hill. I thought this was a pretty common game. Some of the buy it now prices were ridicolous. Like $60-$80 ridicolous.

I don't know, maybe because it's the first game in the series? I could see that being the reason, but who knows?

Movie, hype.

Exactly. It's just because of the movie, it will die down a couple months after it is released on DVD.

I sold two non-GH copies recently... one for $40, one for $50. Got them at a game store for $10 each. Spiffy!

I've noticed the pickings for PSone games at local EB's are getting REAL slim. Dammit!

Looking at it 2 went up also. I paid 7.99 for mine used at gamestop, and its going for 15-20.

Only 4 isn't really having a difference.

Like some of you others have said, it's likely movie hype driving up the prices. Similar to Final Fantasy VII, I'd imagine (I just sold a complete Greatest-Hits FF VII for half a hundred yesterday, actually)... If you can find them cheap locally, and can list them before the hype dies out, you stand to capitalize very well.

...half a hundred yesterday,

Don't you mean the square root of $2500. Either way, that's some good money.

I remember when Knuckles Chaotix for the 32x went for as much as $50 complete, now it doesn't go for $20.

One thing is sure, You don't spell Tear like this: T A R E. :P

I'll have to look into this, buy a copy for ebaying. LOL
