Hey guys I just got a 360 and I was forced to buy a game with it and the only decent game they had in stock was Quake 4. I have not opened it and I still have the receipt. So I am just curious if I should open it or exchange it.

Any opinions would help.

Thanks!

Well i personally wasn't overly thrilled with Quake 4. It's pretty much the same old FPS with little originality and frame rate dips.

However it does sport a brilliant port of Quake II complete with full live support.

Basically if you liked Quake II keep it, if you don't then return it.

I say depends on the price paid. If it was full priced take it back and pick up one of the newer releases. I personally liked quake 4. I have no problem with it. I am just curious. What Draconian store is still forcing you to buy a game with it this late after the system release? and why is there selection so limited?

I say take it back put the money on a incoming game go look in the buy and sell or ebay and pick it up for 30-35.

Are you sure you played Quake 4?

I ask this because you say Quake II has Live support, and thats wrong. It only has local multiplayer support.

Quake 4 CAN be a great game, they really need to patch the issues, it chugs along with the framerate, and has a horrible system for getting on live, very hard to find any games going on at all.

I'd exchange it for now.

Yes that was a mistake it is only local MP although it does have 9 0 GP achievments. It's been so long since i played that i forgot it was only local.

Tomb Raider is Really fun but really short. Oblivion is really long and really fun, but playing it is major commitment.

So which do you like more, fun platforming or serious RPG adventuring in an open-ended world?

I think ill go with Oblivion because tomb raider is a game you buy for like $30 not $60

Good choice, you'll love Oblivion. Get the collectors edition, you get a nice little history book with it, and the guide just for kicks, huge book, almost 400 pages.

No love for Quake IV. I thought the game was great. I hear many people talking about how ordinariry it is, just another fps, well maybe but it is one of the best shooters, I'd put against any other Halo 2 included. The multiplayer won't compare though...

If they fixed the STUPID search engine and just left it like a PC browser select a server type it might actually be GOOD.

I'd buy it again just for that!

Sell it, you'll be able to pick it up again for $6, Oblivion is much more worth it than quake 4.
