I don't know why, I wasn't really expecting much from this game, at first. But this game actually looks kinda fun, now that I've seen the new trailer.
I'm hooked now...
It looks almost spot on, like the ping-pong scene from Forrest Gump. Minus Tom Hanks...
Blazing fast gameplay, too.
Anybody else actually looking forward to this game, besides me?

I just want it to see where the hookers are.

LOL
Or they'll get jumped on by Jack and the ESRB for having a hidden locker room towel snapping mini-game. Where your character (male or female) runs around the locker room chasing all the butt-naked people around with just a wet towel. You get 10 points for every ass you snap with the towel. You unlock an achievement by snapping 20 people! :D
(I honestly don't know where all that came from.. It's been a weird day! Seriously, I am looking forward to this game now.)

Do you get to shoot the other guy if you lose to him?
:P
I'm sure there will be some violence involving a tennis ball and somebodys head.

I'd rather play Pink Pong. That game has the dumbest story in a sports game ever, it's great.

HAHA!! This is now the official "take a shot at GTA and/or Rockstar" thread. LOL ;)
Of course, I was joking about the towel snapping game (But if any developer steals my Idea, I'm suing! LOL )
I do seriously want this game. As I said before... the trailers and videos I've seen have swayed me. I never buy sports games. I haven't bought one since NFL Football on the Inty back in the 80's. Racing games not included.
This one looks fun. I bet multiplayer on this game is gonna be all kindsa fun.

I agree, I really want to try this out. If a company like Rockstar is putting a game like this out there, there has to be something entertaining about it. All the previews of this game have been very positive.

For me, this is a great surprise.
Rockstar Games: The creators of violent and controversal games like GTA, Manhunt and Bully ( Where is the game? ) produce a Tale Tennis game also known Ping-Pong.
This is new.
I donīt have see a sport game based in Ping-pong.

IGN's review is up (http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/709/709654p1.html). As expected, the game is pretty bare bones feature-wise - but the gameplay supposedly stands up very well. Considering the price, I think a score of 7.8 is pretty respectable.
Tempted to get this, though I only just bought Top Spin 2.

How is it that I never posted in this thread?
I was at the media briefing event, and played it back in March.
It really is quite good, and alot of fun. Could easily be the next sleeper hit of a party game for 360.
But, that might have been amplified by the fact that beer was involved.
And let's face it. No matter how fun it is, you're still paying $40 for ping pong

EuroGamer gave it 9 out of 10 (rare for them, if you ask me). I've just pre-ordered my copy. I thought I could hold out, but I couldn't. Should be here on Thursday or Friday.

I almost hate to admit it but this game is one of the main reasons that I want a 360. It seems sad to me that a ping pong game has me thinking about getting a system but the game seems like an original idea which is normally what attracts me to a system in the first place. In fact Bob Ross has me thinking about a Wii.

Has anyone picked this up, yet?
I'm at work, and am probably gonna pick it up on my way home. I just hope someone had some opinions on it.
The reviews I've seen have me scratching my head.

I agree that this game is one of the biggest reasons for me wanting a 360 this soon before gears of war is released
this looks to be a great title.

I dunno, I just find it hard to get excited about a game that has absolutely no single player campaign. I really loved the idea but now that it's got no fleshed out single player feature I don't really care.

Tournaments are fun and the game is just a blast to pay. A little pricey but if you have friends then it's all good.
Oh and Ew, ass sweat.

Got the game, tonight. Didn't feel like going anywhere, last night.
Holy shit - this game blows Top Spin 2 out of the water. And the controls are super tight! But like most other people, I wish there was more to the single player mode. After Lost is over, I'm gonna finish my tourney game.
I have a feeling I'm gonna be playing the hell out of this online, this weekend.
Anyone wanna get a game going on Live this weekend, look me up.

Damn, this is one fun game. Simple, but fun. I've played a couple of matches online - pretty sweet, too. It does get a little laggy as the game goes on - some syncing issues, I imagine. It can get pretty bad, but if they sort that out - I can see myself playing this a fair bit.

Jesper sucks. Any tips on playing against him? Grrrr...
Because I have spent next to no time in single player, I haven't yet unlocked Mark or Jurgen (and, from what I have seen, these two players appear to be the cream of the crop). I'm left mostly playing as Jesper. Personally, I think he is ace - though opinion does seem to vary a little. With Jesper, I always find I struggle against a good Mark or Jurgen player - and most of the time, any opponent worth their salt picks those players to play against me when I'm Jesper.
For playing against a Jesper player... I would recommend going like for like and picking Jesper too.
In a Jesper v Jesper game, I play very short serves, and try and get a good first return. Obviously, as Jesper, the trick is to continually fill his power bar and unleash power shot after power shot. It is pretty easy with Jesper to hit shots that always find the edges of the table. If you push your opponent back far enough, and then drop a low shot, he'll struggle to get there. Jesper doesn't move that well, and can't cover the table like some other players can.
I don't know if I'm helping :S
