Xbox 360: Who has the best warranty?

Best buy, Gamestop, Gamecrazy, Gamerush, circuit city. Is there any store that has a 2 year extended warranty or longer?

I heard a rumor that best buy has a 2 year warranty but do not know if it's true.

Any info would be appriciated. :)

Best Buy has warranties. I had one of my PS2 and it broke. Got a new one yesterday. The thing with there warranty is if it breaks outside of manufactures warranty then you no longer have a warranty with them after replacement. Lucky me, PS2 price drop meant the my 150 dollar warrantied PS2 just got a free new warranty. I got a 2 year warranty at K-Mart on my 360 for 40 bucks on launch day.

You can actually get a 2 year extended warrenty from MS themselves. It came to about $60 Canadian for me. Rumour also has it that the original out of the box warrenty was changed from 90 to 180 days for all customers due to the problems that were going on in a few of the buggy systems.

AFAIK, store warranties cover one replacement and your plan is then done. The microsoft warranty covers an unlimited number of replacements for 2 years.

OK, how do i get an extended warranty from microsoft? I'm thinking i have to order a 360 from microsoft and have it shipped to me?

Game Crazy offers a two year service contract for the lovely price of 59.99

yeah you could buy a game for that price, or you could get some reassurance that your system will be replaced if it breaks donw and freezes on you in that two year time span.

For the MS service contract all you need to do is call 1-800-4MYXBOX within the initial warranty period and tell them you want to buy it. They ask some general questions such as the serial number and method of payment and that is it. For the MS service contract, you can buy it for 1 or 2 years and it covers the console and the original controller for as many replacements that you may need. In the case of the MS one as well, you can get your 360 anywhere you want.

The MS service contracy cost me about $60 Canadian. I bought the two year one by the way. As for the in store service contract, I assume the prices are pretty comparable.
