the game: FullAuto
the problem: Game freezes from using special feature too often
topic: where will you be at in your gameplay the next time your xbox crashes?
has anyone noticed the replay on Full Auto. Full Auto is a game developed by Sega for play on your Xbox 360. This game has a cool concept that makes oyu drive around several courses adn cause destruction to the surroundings as you try to finish in first place. Weapons are obtainable throughout the various courses and you get to destroy your opponents.
now, what do you do when you are driving behind first place and they drop a land mine that blows oyu up causing your car severe damage and throws you out of the race?
just hit the rewind button.
this takes you back to where you were before you got blown to kingdom come.
now try doing this when you are coming around a corner, hit a sweet ramp and land on a landmine that has been left by an opponent. kinda cool. you can hit the ramp again adn again and again but if you do not stear away from the landmine you are just gonna get blown up again and again and again.
so just how many times can you rewind your race before your xbox tells you your crap and just freezes up on you?
well,
im not sure, but when someone comes up with a cool idea of how im just wrong on this whole topic, let me know.
i found this interesting and im sure others will too.
p.s. dont worry, your system doesnt lock up on you for good. you can still go back to playing your halo 2 and living in your mothers basement. Just walk over to the xbox and hit the reset button. Or if oyu are cool enough and your mom bought you a logitech system remote, then just push the stand by button and then push the power button again toturn the system back on. Good Luck
and
GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't noticed that on Full Auto. I played about five straight hours of it this afternoon and was on the harder races where I was all over that rewind button. No glitches for me. Freakin' game's so awesome. I love it. One of the 360's best surprises, no doubt.
However......not more than 15 minutes ago...on Oblivion. Freeze, after a lengthy bout of wandering without a save. Even with a cache clearing. I was definitely muttering something about trading in for a PS2. It pissed me off, which is why my 360 is off and I'm posting on here. LOL

Alright, let's start this up.
First off, I love this thread. This is an absolutey fantastic thread that deserves being stickied. I'm completely seriously. It could be stickied for reasons such as 'Best Glitch in a game that's actually not a glitch but actually just bad luck that may or may not happen to you, but who knows!', or my personal favorite, 'How to post like a master."
A glitch is a bug in a game that was missed during beta tests. What you encountered were enemies that beat you fair and square. Or bad luck.
A mine was planted near the landing spot of a ramp, good idea eh? Sadly, the ramp created a jump that launched you into the air for a good amount of time, and then the explosion that occurred in your face took some time as well. Time to rewind eh? But wait, The air time + explosion time = More time than you can rewind.
What the shit!? I was beaten by AI that was thinking? Or an online player that used his brain? Oh meh gedz.
So, now we know its not a glitch, the next question is, why say 360's are locking up because of this? You even said...
just how many times can you rewind your race before your xbox tells you your crap and just freezes up on you?
...so this entire thread is actually about how you lack in skills as a racing/shooting gamer in Full Auto, and how you're theoretically predicting a lockup of your 360 if you just keep rewinding in a game of Full Auto.
Awesome.
I am sure it is the fault of the crap programmers at Micro$oft.

You know i was gonna take the high road like Fox did and attack your points, but lets face it, you don't listen to reason and you make these post simply to incite hatred over something you just don't like. There's nothing wrong with criticizing legitimate defects, but dude your reaching past the extreme. This, like all your other complaints is complete bullshit.
So please enough with the bullshit, stop inciting hatred and just keep your own damn irrational thoughs to yourself.
And if the calm approach doesn't work then please, fuck off and die.
If any mods are upset by this very personal attack, sorry, but somethings need to be said. Neonesmaster has done nothing to contribute and started this thread with the intention of spurring more flames, just like his last thread.

Played all the way through it and got all the silver medals without a single problem. I'll be working on the golds when I have the time. That's at least 10 hours worth of play time.
p.s. dont worry, your system doesnt lock up on you for good. you can still go back to playing your halo 2 and living in your mothers basement.
And you wonder why we don't take you seriously?

Well, the way I understand it is that it IS a glitch. Hes saying if he rewinds too many times the game locks up o him.
To neonesmaster:
Why are you so insulting? :hmm:
You have some growing up to do...the way you worded your post makes me think you're 11.

So where would you be living before Full Auto locked up? How does a game lockup make you move to a different house?
Most of my systems have had technical issues at one point and generally they were all pretty minor. I expect my PS3 and Wii will lock up at some point to.
The rewind feature on Full Auto takes some getting used to in order to understand it fully....and therefor use it properly. It isn't just an eraser for mistakes. In that light, the self destruct feature takes some understanding as well. There's a right time and a wrong time to use each. I think that you probably used the wrong time.
GrayFox sort of spelled it out for you with a perfect scenario of "bomb after the jump". Even worse is "bomb after a jump after a blind corner"....which the AI loves to use. The AI in Full Auto is definitely on it's game and is quite honestly "too good for you when you're just trying to learn how to play". It takes some serious playtime in order to be able to spank it's ass with 100% Golds.
It doesn't matter how many times you rewind a specific scenario.....you don't get time given back just because you want to RE-rewind a mistake. Time gets taken away for EACH attempt at a specific rewind. Sooner or later you don't even have enough rewind juice left to even clear far enough back to avoid the blast. Best thing to do in that situation is just let your car blow up and reset itself....or you can self destruct your car (hit the "select" button) and take the position penalty. This doesn't count for "one life" races though. Self destruct in them and you lose.
I've learned that just before you let go of a rewind, either keep the steering all the way over to one side or hold the FOOT brakes fully on (left trigger) so that you DON'T hammer back into whatever took you out. If you CAN'T seem to avoid it....self destruct. During a race use the handbrake though (red button) and drift sideways through the corners then nitrous out of it with your machine guns (if available) fully pressed. You'll take out any waiting bombs usually without taking damage.
The more time you put into this game, the more the game gives back. You have to LEARN it. The reviewers were so wrong about Full Auto. Maybe they should have played more than a few hours of it before telling the entire world that it sucked.

If life were a 360, I'd rewind the past 5 minutes and not read this thread. And hope my head didn't lock up.

Isnt Full Auto a pretty buggy game?
No way.
I've devoted lots of time to this game and haven't seen one glitch, bug or whatever you want to call it. People might confuse race-created instances, such as the subject of this thread, as "glitches".
The game is smooth, fast and complete development-wise IMO. Go and play it. It rocks.

That's not entirely true. Full Auto is Prone to Frame rate dips and at the strangest of times. I can shame through a car garage at the full frame rate but shortly afterward on a cleared street it will slow down.
Aside from that i haven't noticed anything.

I found this funny, myself, and I'm pretty sure he intended it to be.
Anyway, good luck with that Neo NES Master...
