Am I the only one who can't stand buying player's choice games? I HAVE to have the original copy of the game. I hate that ugly yellow strip that makes it stick out from the rest of my GameCube games. It sits out and screams "CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!"

This is why I don't own any player's choice games. The only discount game I own is Fable: The Lost Chapters for the Xbox, and it pains me to have to own that too...they didn't release the expanded Fable version in a non-Platinum Hits edition.

There's already a thread like this in Classic Gaming.

But anyway, if you already have a copy of the game, then greatest hits AREN'T FOR YOU. So what's the problem?

Greatest Hits are for people like me who don't have a lot of money and don't like to pay full price for a new game. The game sells well, then they mark the price way down and re-release it so that people who pass on these games the first time around when they were expensive can now buy them.

If you already have the original game, good for you. Then don't buy the re-release. Problem solved.

I don't mind having greatests hits, i'm a gamer not a collector, but I don't like it when they change the content.

For instance, metroid prime for the GC

They changed it to fix some of the bugs, but some of the bugs were cool and let you get the items out of order. I was pissed when I found out they did that because they had a used original for the same price as a sealed players choice.

I try my best to avoid them but god it's hard.

I have 2 platinum hits, 2 players choice, 1 greatest hits.

I hate that ugly yellow strip that makes it stick out from the rest of my GameCube games. find an original insert. Only the insert is different from the non-PC release
