Did a search but found nothing.

Who here has picked up this game? I am seriously thinking about grabbing it, but I am a very cheap man and I don't want to spend $40 unless the game is worth it.

I already know what games are on it, so my question is more about the emulation, the controls, etc. Do the games play well? How is it turning the PSP vertically to play 1941?

Siince I can't play emulators on my system anymore, I am looking for something like this where I can easily fire up a quick game of something, and and $2 per game, this list looks pretty good. Section Z is even the MAME League game right now. Between that and 1941, the disc has it's shooters going on, plus a great side scroller like Strider, and Final Fight, shich I understand is a very good beat em up.

Of course all of this is moot if the emulation sucks or if there is some other issue that lowers the quality of the gameplay.

So what I am asking is simply this: Is there anything that I should know about this disc before I go out and buy it?

Thanks

Chris

PS, here is the games list for anyone who might be curious:

Street Fighter
1941
Avengers
Bionic Commando
Black Tiger
Block Block
Captain Commando
Final Fight
Forgotten Worlds
Last Duel
Legendary Wings
Magic Sword
Mega Twins
Quiz & Dragons
Section Z
Side Arms
The Speed Rumble
Strider
Three Wonders
Varth

FYI: This game was $19.99 last week at Best Buy. It figures that both my local BB's were out of stock. Anyway, it may be best to wait, I'm thinking a price drop is imminent. At $40 it's a rip...$20 sounds about right.

Damn. That doesn't mean that a price drop is coming, though. I wish I had known about that, as for that price I would have been all over it.

I got it and its great fun, all the ports are dead on, to me having street fighter ALONE is worth the price of admission.. great game... fyi.. I have heard they are doing a remix with more games due out later this year around september.

Yeah, sequel is due out this year. This is a great collection though. Final Fight IS censored. That's my only complaint. Oh sure, the chicks are back in with their tits hanging out when they're punched, but they took the shot of Jessica strung up on the TV in the intro out. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

What the hell? Obviously I haven't played Final Fight enough :eek 2:

edit: oh, I see what you're talking about - [link to Wiki RE: censorship in FF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fight#Censorship)]

Are there any non-censored versions other than MAME?

being able to play quiz and dragons on the toilet is worth the $39.99 to me.

I tried it vertical just long enough for me to say "OK I don't like this" and then turn it back.

I don't do emulation on my PSP so this disk is almost always in my PSP since it has a bunch of great games on it. I think $40 is a little steep for a compilation like this but then it didn't stop me from buying it. I love it and play it all the time and I'll probably spend $40 again on the sequel whenever that comes out.

It looks like a great comp, but emulation on the PSP seems to kind of make it irrelevant. I haven't delved too much into the MAME emulation, but TG16, genesis and NES are great. Only thing I hate is the buttons. The Dpad and buttons just don't feel right for the games.

I need this badly....because I want my Black Tiger again. When I was a kid, my brother's best friend, his dad owned a small shop in a flea market. Where they had a cabinet of Black Tiger just sitting there. Whenever we visited him, I would be pumpin quarters into that game..

For me, it's all about Black Tiger..

np, I seriously can't wait for Reloaded this October, sure it's just a blend of Vol. 1, but portable SF2 Hyper Fighting? Ghouls N Ghosts? and Knights of the Round? King of Dragons? delicious...
