Who is Max (Dark Cloud 2)?

Is anyone playing Dark Cloud 2? The main character (Max) has a very familiar sounding voice. We think maybe it's the same as Kevin French from Mission Hill. Does anyone know?

There's nothing on the IMDB about Dark Cloud 2, so I won't know who the actor is until I finish the game. If it is the guy from Mission Hill, he's moving up. I can't stand Mission Hill.
