yup play-asia is doing it again:

20$ with 2$ shipping.
(they did this a few weeks ago with children of mana)
I was curious how these games would play on the ds, so its a really hard one to pass up...I thought i'd share the wealth with anyone who's on the edge of wanting this.

How much of the game would be English?

I recently finished up Children of Mana. About 1% of that game is in English, but it doesn't matter much.
The thing with Xenosaga is that it's a traditional RPG. It'd be tough to play all the way through a game like that without knowing the language. There'll probably be a translation guide sooner or later, but who knows when?

This PS2 conversion wasn't very popular at all.
Probably since everything redeeming was removed in the transition.

I didnt' like the PS2 games. Too much movie/story, not enough game (zzzz). Anyone played these to comment? The fact that it's $20 already suggests that it is ass, like I hear the new Seiken Densetsu game turned out to be.

I tolerated the PS2 games, and having played the first two I'm obviously going to subject myself to the third one.
A real shame though, they could have done something really great with those games as they contain some of the absolute coolest cinematics ever. The story is going to get chopped to shit by cutting out three parts. Large potential, wasted.
As for the DS conversion, I'd bet they fixed the combat and toned down the amount of worthless intermissions (washing dishes on the ship? who cares!). I'll pick it up when it hits stateside in the bargain bin.

With such low sales, and the fact the proper real PS2 games are already out, don't hold your breath for a translation. It may never come.

I really hope it does. I liked the couple of hours I played of the ps2 version.
