OK, in my quest for a full Odyssey2 collection, I've finally got all 3 of the 'board games:'

Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt (http://www.classicgaming.com/o2home/db/cart.asp?cartid=20&masterid=20)
Conquest of the World (http://www.classicgaming.com/o2home/db/cart.asp?cartid=13&masterid=13)
Quest for the Rings (http://www.classicgaming.com/o2home/db/cart.asp?cartid=40&masterid=40)

I'm going to force some friends to play one of these at some point. Has anyone actually played all 3 of these? If so, which would you recommend as the most fun - keeping in mind that there might be some non-hardcore gamers involved...[/url]

I had all 3 when I was young, but I rarely played the 'board' sections of the games. Why would you want to? :D

From what I did remember of them... Quest For The Rings was alot like D&D. Conquest Of The World was somewhat like Risk.

I remember enjoying QFTR alot... Don't remember Conquest (the board part of it) too much.

Wall St. Fortune Hunt was hard for me, as a kid. I didn't really grasp was going on. It was my more my Dad's game. I hardly ever played it.

Quest for the Rings hands down, especially if you like D&D. I always had a hard time getting my friends to take the time to set up a proper game, but it was good fun when we did. It does require a little patience, especially from the guy who plays the Ringmaster.

I enjoyed basic buying & selling in the Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt back in the day, but the complete rules of the game were way too complicated for my young mind. And now that I'm an adult, who went to college and writes complicated software for a living... I still can't follow them. LOL Although if you're into economics you might get it.

Conquest seemed less fun to me back then, but I hadn't played Risk then so I don't think I totally grasped the point. I'd like to try playing it by the "real" rules now, but I need to find a willing opponent first.

Well, I'm not much into D&D. You both said that the Wall Street game was complicated, so I think I'll give the Conquest a shot.

Why do I wanna play them? Well, I spend so much time and money collecting this shit, I might as well play a game or two... LOL

I could never understand the rules to the board games, I suspect as kids we didnt want to. we just wanted the new medium of interactive video.
I did play quest, but don't know if I played it right, cos to this day I suspect the board side would be a lot better than the rules I assosciate with it.
if I was going to play now with freinds..as an adult, I rekon I would bother to learn the rules to WSFH.

For me the favorite of those three would be QFTR, simply because I love its atmosphere :)
