how do you view them, i don't have the instructions booklet, don't get it. I see a few on the list, don't know how to watch them.

I just got a copy of the game too, even though I don't have access to a PS2 yet. I figure that, by the time I have a PS2, the game will be out of print, so it's better not to wait.
If you can't find the game locally, try EBgames.com or Gamestop.com
Worse comes to worse, you could buy it online.

Commerical unlocks:
Barnstorming Commercial = Complete Field 1 in 33.5 seconds or less.
Corporate Commercial = Beat the computer opponent in Boxing.
Chopper Command Commercial = Score 6,000.
Freeway Commercial = Score 30 points on Game 1.
Grand Prix Commercial = Track 1 in under 45 seconds.
Ice Hockey Commercial = Score 4 points in under a 2 minutes against the computer.
Activision Commercial = Score 10,000 in Kabobber.
Kaboom Commercial = Score 150.
Laserblast Commercial = Lose all lives.
Megamania Commercial = Score 15,000.
Pitfall Commercial = Score 12,000.
River Raid Commercial = Score 8,000.
Skiing Commercial = Beat slope 1 in less than 35 seconds.
Stampede Commercial = Score 1,000.
Tennis Commercial = Beat the computer opponent.

That Laserblast entry doesn't look right. I think you have to play game four (doesn't matter if you score any points though) to get that unlockable. If you lose all your lives on game one you don't get much of anything (unless you've made it to 100000 points that is :) ).

corporate one is wrong too, you gotta beat the computer and let time run out, and it seems to only work after 75 hits. if you knock him out nothing happens.

That's how I got both commericals on my AA- lost all my live sin laser Blast and KOed the computer in Boxing.

Does anybody have a trick to beat the Barnstorming requirement?
I've tried over and over but I'm always at least a second too slow.

...damn, I owe my cousin some money now. LOL
Well, I know to get the Barnstorming PATCH sure was a b-tch! After about half an hour trying, I squeaked in like a tenth of a second in time. Didnt know there was a commercial for it, though- dont recall unlocking it.
Same deal w/ the Grand Prix patch- I'm NEVER gonna get that requirement. According to Tips & Tricks' Collectors Closet (Joe's portion of the mag), the req is the SAME now as it was to get the ACTUAL patch (under 35s Game #1).
They made it a lot easier to get patches in the new version- most games have a drastic scoring reduction. Heck, in Private Eye you only have to TRY case #3!
& hey, where's the Dolphin commercial? IIRC the kid playing was Paul King (a teen heartthrob in my sis' Tiger Beat mags). Anyhoo, they sure butchered that patch challenge. I consistently beat the cart version- on AA it's far too easy.

Has anyone ripped these commercials to mpg? I have some of them, but not all.
Probably anyone who has the Mac or PC version of Activision Anthology, has the rip of the videos in their CD (dunno whether they'd be accessible or not, though).
