Will the PS3 have that exciting "new console" smel

Well? What say you? Every time I buy a new console, I race home in anticipation of cracking open the box for the first time and breathing in that exciting, "new console" smell. Sort of like the "new car" smell, but even better!

When I bought the PS2, I picked up Fantavision. Luckily, the PS2 had that exciting "new console" smell, because Fantavision is a wretched demo disguised as a "game."

Just had that with my 360 not too long ago. I remember that the PS2 had a more pungent "new console" smell though. Since I made a solemn vow to myself this time around to own only one "next gen" console , I'm not buying a PS3. I will therefor run over to my friends house on PS3 launch day, shove him rudely out of the way and crack open his PS3, savoring that Sony aroma.

I wonder if the Sony and Nintendo consoles will come with stickers like the 360 did?

weird.... I never notice that 'new console smell' until the first time I fire the system up.

I imagine it's similar to opening up a new game... that combination of fresh plastic and new paper... it's almost like a new car smell....

Except for Electroplankton... when I opened that sucker up, it smelled like crayons! Awesome.

If by "new console smell" you mean "the odor of burning plastic and solder caused by woefully insufficient cooling and motor bearings that pale in comparison to a $3 battery operated portable fan", then yeah, it probably will.
