Does anyone know the value of the Player's Choice re-release for the original Legend of Zelda for NES?

I checked the online rarity guide about the re-release and it just says this:

Later re-released in "Classic Series" packaging, like Zelda II and Metroid, with a Classic series banner on the box, and a grey cart, instead of gold. This version is slightly rarer than the original.
I was surprised the re-release was more rare than the original. The guide gives a value of $5 for a loose copy of the original.

Any idea of the value of a complete version of the classic series?

Im not sure what the sealed classics release goes for, but im pretty sure its below $100. I think its about $60 - $100.

The copy I'm looking into is not sealed and the box is a little beat-up.

I'm pretty sure they are worth about the same complete. If I was selling it I'd be charging the same price. I might be bale to pick one up for $15 CAN I'd have to check though. How much are you thinking about paying for it?

I really didn't think it'd be worth all that much. I mean, you think the gold carts would be more valuable than the gray carts. The gray cart is the one I own. I bought it back in the late '90s brand new at Wal-Mart for like $10. I've been wanting a gold cart, though, to go along with my gold Zelda II.

Well I saw one at a local flea market for $50 Cdn. Yeah, thats right, FIFTY BUCKS! My jaw literally dropped.

I'm not looking to buy it, I was just wondering whether I should go back to the flea market next week and spit on the guy.

Haha, I've seen prices like that before. There are a couple places in Ontario with Final Fantasy 1 for $50-100, Zelda and Link often have $50 on them because they are gold colored. There is no way it is worth anywhere near that. $20US tops would be my guess.
