Sony in the handheld market?

I was reading in the april edition of EGM about sony making a handheld called the playboy....NOW....this sounds really ridiculous aka april fools but it have read several other sites and zines that say they are looking to get into the handheld business...anyone have thoughts on this?

I think the name pretty much gives it away. Potential slogans could be "Playboy - We combined Game Boy with Playstation!" or "Playboy - Nudie pictures not included".

If it's for real, Sony would have to come up with something different. I doubt the parent would let their kids buy playboy because of the name association to porn magazines.

Oh yeah, it better be skip resistant in case a little kid got frustrated and shakes the Playboy hard.

I doubt that they'd be able to use the name Playboy anyways. Isn't it a trademarkof the magazine?

If anything, it'd have the -MAN at the end like Walkman. So it'd be a Sony Playman?

either way if sony did , i can 100% guarentee it would bomb because of how big gameboy has been since the beginning of handhelds

I still truley don't get how the gameboy ever got as big as it did...
I mean, even tho, in the end it's GAMEPLAY that matter, I must admit that that damn display for the gameboy ruined any fun the game may be.

Contra (or Operation C as it's titled)... classic you can't screw up contra, they didn't screw up contra, BUT once you start running, and enemie's start running and those little winged things with weapon start flying.. it's nothing but a haze of blurs... and don't even mention those little bullets you're supposed to see and dodge.

and that's pretty much my beef with EVERY game... blurring.. you can't SEE whats going on in most games.

I don't care if the Game Gear at batteries like popcorn. That's why they invented adapters for home play, and battery packs. (same goes for Nomad)
I don't care if the Lynx was as big as the 2600 jr. it may have been hard to carry discreetly. but at least it did what it was supposed to do well.
