Friend of mine is arguing about the original price and I want to know to shut them up.

I just tossed out a ps2 box that had the original price tag of 449.99 on it.

It was $299 (in the U.S.), just like the PS2--at least it was if folks weren't marking it up.

With the PS2 shortage, a lot of retailers forced buyers to purchase bundles with a much higher price. But the
original starting price for both was $299.
