... a poor value??

i notice on their website the 'classic' model costs like $434 (not sure if shipping is included in that)

the classic comes with a trackball, 2- 8 way joysticks with 7 or 8 arcade button layouts each), a 4 way joystick, a rotary knob, and a three button layout for games like missile command....
plus there are a lot of options available (at even more money)...

who has used one, what was your opinion?
I am looking for a MAME only joystick that will do it all... this looks like it can, but it is also 300$ more than the X-Arcade, and 250$ more than the Hot Rod...plus it is HUGE.

ALL of that cost is for the trackball. If you look at trackball prices, it adds about $100-$150 just for PARTS. So if you REALLY NEED the trackball, then go for it, if you want to save a few hundred dollars, drop the trackball and go for one of the other 2 (Hotrod or X-arcade)

Will, didn't they have one at PhillyClassic? I know they were there, maybe they didn't have a working model. They did bring it to CGE and also to one of our NAVA meetings.

In my opinion, it's a "nice" stick but it's WAY WAY too BIG. With my setup there's just nowhere to put the thing.

I didn't find it any better, control-wise, than the X-Arcade or Hanaho HotRod.

It has some nice extra options, but with the price it commands - and again, mainly the size - there were much better alternatives out there. The guys won't be happy to hear me say this, but it's "third" in my book.

I desperately want to get some kind of dial for my computer at home, so I can finally play paddle games the way they were meant to be played. Is there a product out there that will satisfy my needs without emptying my wallet? I'm not payin' no $400 for one, that I can assure you.

I have this and it's very cheap and I love it.
