Anyway, Taito aims to release XII Stag (http://www.taito.co.jp/d3/cp/12stag/) for the PlayStation 2 this March 20. In Japan, of course. It could be fun, though I'd sooner beg an American company to bring over the new Dodonpachi.

And Insert Credit (http://www.insertcredit.com/) has a link to an interesting doujin shooter (in other words, a homebrew) called Perfect Cherry Blossom (http://www16.big.or.jp/%7Ezun/top.html). A frilly title, I agree, but the game has too many pastel bullets for me to ignore it.

Excellent news, but I gotta agree with you. Just once, before I die, I'd like to see a Cave shmup actually released stateside. I would actually buy a Gamecube or Xbox if the new Dodonpachi was a system exclisive in the US.

Taito is FAR from my fave shmup house, but at this point, I'll take anything. Of course, it'll never get released here...

(Wonder who that "Triangle Service" is listed in the copywrites? Never heard of them.)
