I'm cross-posting that, but I don't think that's what we're going to see this time around. Isn't that the cancelled version (edit: Or Tactics)? In any case, the terrain is pretty hideous, so it's possible it is an in-production version.
I think it's a stretch to believe that FO3 will be isometric, though.

oh no....another unaviodable chunk of time in my life that will be utterly consumed by a game. With Bethesda behind it, my hopes are high.

Way-canceled version. After Tactics and Brotherhood. Like from two years ago, whoever had the licence back then. The terrain isn't a very clear tile pattern, and the dome also appears to be one gigantic image. Either they had some really advanced 2D terrain generators or it is just a CG mock-up of what they wanted to see in F3.
I'm pretty sure when it comes out F3 will be 3D and resource-intensive. Like Oblivion, only more interesting and enjoyable.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. I've seen a small number of original FO3 screenshots; some seemed to be dodgy 3D renders, and I've seen the old 2D title screen. Didn't see any shots like that one, though.
