Please and thank you!
This was an old PC game, birds-eye and set in outer space. Most of the game involded moving blocks around and through teleporters, with a lot of blue mesh floors if I remember correctly... lots like Chip's Challenge.
Along the same lines, there was a bland 3-d racing game where the most significant thing I remember is that bugs and rain could hit the windshield and you'd have to use the wipers to get ridda the distraction.
Well, thanks for the help!

I believe it's Top Gear Rally 2 (link) (http://ign64.ign.com/articles/071/071487p1.html)
I have no idea what the puzzle game is.

well that's very generic as basically every space themed sokoban clone with teleporters fits that description :D
seriously, you might want to give us an estimate on when you played both and maybe a system for the racing game

Well, I remember them both being on a Windows 95 PC, and I must have been around 8 or 9, so... 1993-5? The racing game wasn't nearly that new -- it was all flat-shaded and done in a first person perspective. Thanks again.

ugh, Win95 and 93-95? that's not possible :D
flat shaded polygons definately sounds like DOS though... do you have any idea what kind of racing it was (f1/indy/nascar/rally/street....) ???

Perhaps the driving game is Network Q Rally.

Actually, I think I'm remembering the game you're talking about. Does it involve some kid getting his dog to the exit? Turning mirrors, etc?
I think it might be an apogee game. Let me know if this rings any bells.
Edit:
Rescue Rover. This it?

that one uses bitmaps though, not flat-shaded polygons

The racing game must have been Test Drive III : The Passion.
I have such fond memories of that game. I remember I had to switch off the "turbo" mode of my 486 to play it at a reasonable speed. The freedom in that game was amazing : you could leave the road (that was easy, the controls were horrible), turn on the radio, use the wipers...

How about a nes game where you were some kid going on an adventure. It looked alot like Zelda in the style you played. You had a yo yo as a weapon I think. And I remmeber Amazon chicks in it at one point or another. skeletons too. this was like 1994 or so.
