Okay, before I say anything else, I just want to state that this PS2 does not play DVD movies for some strange reason. I have no idea why it won't, but that's just the way it is. I get a "dvd player not set up" message whenever I try to load one.
With that aside, the PS2 (v7 model) works great. I just got it professionally modded with a DMS4 Pro SE chip and it plays anything you can throw at it. Backups, imports, etc. Slap a HDD on and rip your games to it with the built in HDD utility on the chip. I purchased the PS2 new a year and a half ago, so the laser on it is still in great shape. Never had a single DRE on it. It's actually the Online bundle version that I have, so it comes with a network adapter too. All boxes, manuals, packing materials included.
Asking $150 + ship in the US. I just paid $55 for the chip and $35 for the install job, so it's a pretty sweet deal regardless of the dvd player prob. Just want to sell it because I'm running out of space in my entertainment center and would like to get a slim PS2 instead. Pics of everything are available. Just let me know if you have any questions.
